Mariah grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, along with her younger brother, Conner, who was adopted as well. Their parents married in 1989 after knowing each other for more than ten years, adopting Mariah and Conner in 1991. It’s Larry’s second marriage, as he was previously married to Janet Condra, while it was Dinah’s first time being married. Mariah has a step-sister from his father’s side, Corrie Bird.
Mariah studied at Boston University, Massachusetts, before transferring to Indiana University in Bloomington, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science in Recreation. During her high school and college years, she served as a cheerleader for their respective football teams, and attended several competitive cheerleading events. As for her personal life and relationships, not a lot is known since Mariah tends to keep out of the public eye, and isn’t active on social media, despite being the daughter of a famous parent. She’s made a few public appearances, along with her family members, such as being a guest on the “Late Night Show with David Letterman” in 2012.

Larry Bird was born in West Baden Springs, Indiana USA, on 7 December 1956 – his zodiac sign is Sagittarius, and he holds American nationality. He’s a former basketball player, coach and NBA executive, known for playing for the Boston Celtics (1979 – 1992) and coaching Indiana Pacers (1997 – 2000). Through his basketball career, Larry earned the nickname ‘Larry the Legend’, and became widely regarded as one of the best NBA players of his generation.
Larry was born to Georgia and Claude Joseph Bird of mixed ancestry, as his parents were of Irish, Scottish and Native American descent. He grew up in French Lick, Indiana, along with his five siblings. Larry had a rough upbringing, with his mother having to work two jobs to support a family – his parents divorced while he was in high school, and his father committed suicide a year later.
During his teenage years, Larry started playing basketball to escape from his troubles at home, and soon became a local basketball phenomenon. After matriculating high school in 1974, he was offered scholarships at several colleges, who hoped to recruit him for their basketball teams.

He initially signed to play for Indiana Hoosiers, at the University of Indiana, but dropped out after a month, and started attending a local community college instead.
In 1975, he enrolled at Indiana State University, and spent three years playing for their basketball team, Sycamores. At the 1978 NBA Draft, Larry was selected by the Boston Celtics, the sixth overall pick. Following the draft, he elected to keep playing for Indiana State University for one more year, before signing for the Celtics. He led his team to an undefeated regular season in 1978-1979, playing his last game for the Sycamores in the national championship against Michigan State, which had Magic Johnson as a player, starting their career-long rivalry – Michigan won.
Larry entered the NBA during the 1978-1980 season, making an immediate impact. During his first season as a Celtics player, he led his team to a 32-win improvement over the previous season, and in the following years, led them to five NBA finals, and three NBA championships. He spent most of his professional career playing side by side with the forward Kevin McCale and center Robert Parish, the trio widely regarded as one of the best front courts in NBA history.
During his career, Larry was named the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) for three consecutive years (1984, 1985 and 1986), and he was also a 12-time NBA All-Star.
In 1992, he was a member of the USA men’s Olympic basketball team, nicknamed ‘The Dream Team’, which won the gold medal at the Barcelona Summer Olympics. As a Boston Celtics and ‘The Dream Team’ member, Larry became a two-time Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee.
After retiring, Larry moved back to Indiana, where he served as coach of the Indiana Pacers, from 1997 through 2000. After his first season leading the team, he was named the NBA Coach of the Year, and later led Pacers to the 2000 NBA Finals. Three years later, Larry became the president of basketball operations for the team, holding the position until 2012. He returned to the position in the following year, before completely retiring in 2017.
Larry is the only person in the NBA’s 75-years-long history to earn the titles of Rookie of the Year, MVP, All-Star MVP, NBA Finals MVP, Coach of the Year, and Executive of the Year.
Off the basketball court, Larry has appeared in three movies, “Blue Chips”, “Space Jam” and “Celtic Pride”, and his likeness has been featured in numerous video games and commercials. The Boston-based indie rock band Dispatch, wrote a song about him entitled “Just Like Larry”, and the social media website Twitter named their logo, ‘Larry the Bird’, after Larry.
