Jac Collinsworth is an American sports broadcaster, but perhaps known best as the son of the award-winning sports broadcaster Cris Collinsworth. Jac works at NBC Sports as a play-by-play announcer and a host.

Jac Collinsworth was born on 13 February 1995, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky USA; his mother, Holly Bankemper Collinsworth is an attorney, while his father, Chris Collinsworth, is a former professional American Football player in the National Football League (NFL). After his retirement, he became a sports broadcaster, working for networks such as Showtime, NBC, and the NFL Network. He won multiple awards as a football player, and received 17 Sports Emmy Awards as a broadcaster. He also owns the majority of shares of Pro Football Focus (PFF) which is the platform that offers sports analysis.

Jac has three siblings: Katie Collinsworth Hughes, Austin Collinsworth, and Ashley Collinsworth. Katie is a marketing specialist who has two children with Patrick Hughes. Collinsworth left ESPN in 2020 and returned to NBC, this time acquiring a more serious role and hosting “Distance Training: Ready to Get Back in the Game”, a digital series that provided insight into the physical and mental training of professional athletes. In 2021, he was the reporter for the annual Kentucky Derby horse race.

Throughout his career as a sportscaster, Jac has covered the Olympics several times, with the most recent assignment being the 2022 Beijing Games which included hosting the show on USA Network. In February 2022, he was a co-host of the “Super Bowl LVI Pregame Show” on NBC.


As of late 2022, Collinsworth is a play-by-play announcer of Notre Dame Football on NBC Sports, with Jason Garrett who serves as the analyst, as well as Atlantic 10 college basketball games.
