Lawrencia was raised in Robbins, Illinois alongside her brother Lawrence and sisters Loreal and Keke, by their father Lawrence ‘Larry’ Palmer and mother Sharon; the family are deeply religious Catholics, and they went to church at least once a week while Lawrencia was growing up. Both Lawrence and Sharon were professional actors prior to finding full-time jobs; Sharon’s today a high school teacher working with autistic children, while Lawrence is a Catholic deacon, and also works at a polyurethane company.

Keke was raised in Robbins alongside her siblings; she received her nickname after her older sister’s imaginary friend called ‘Keke’. She became passionate about acting at a very early age, and was nine when she auditioned for a role in a local theatre’s production of “The Lion King”.
