Who is Ryan Poles?
American football executive and former professional American Football player Ryan Poles was born in Canandaigua, New York State USA, on 20 September 1985, meaning that Virgo’s his zodiac sign. He’s probably known best for being the general manager of the Chicago Bears, which are competing in the National Football League (NFL); the Bears’ performance has improved under Ryan’s leadership, which has made him popular in the US, as well as on the internet.
Education and early life
Ryan was raised in Canandaigua alongside his sister Kelli Poles, by their father Junior Poles and mother Marry Ellen; Junior’s also a former professional American Football player, while Ryan’s sister Kelli’s a professional basketball player.
He became interested in playing football at a very early age, and joined his elementary school’s team at the age of eight. Ryan progressed to Canandaigua Academy in 1999, and it was during his time there that he knew he wanted to become a professional player.
He matriculated in 2003 and then enrolled at Boston College, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in communication in 2007; Ryan was amongst the best players at college, but in 2006 suffered a serious injury which meant the end of his career.
Ryan’s career
Ryan tried to make it to the NFL despite the injury, but wasn’t drafted in the 2007 NFL Draft; he signed with the Chicago Bears as a free agent in the following year, but was cut without playing any games.
He was employed by Boston College in 2008, working as their recruiter and graduate assistant, and it was in 2009 that Ryan had his breakthrough, when he began working as a scouting assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs of NFL, under their general manager Scott Pioli. Ryan became the team’s college scouting co-ordinator in 2010, and kept the position when John Dorsey became the team’s new general manager in 2013.
He was promoted to director of college scouting in 2016, and after Brett Veach became the team’s new general manager in 2018, Ryan was promoted to assistant director of player personnel.
Ryan Poles joined the Chicago Bears briefly as an undrafted free agent in 2008.
Last year, he became the team's new GM.

He became the team’s executive director of player personnel on 9 June 2021, but quit the Chiefs half a year later, after having been appointed general manager of the Chicago Bears on 25 January 2022.
Ryan’s first notable move was trading outside linebacker Khalil Delshon Mack to the Los Angeles Chargers, to receive a 2022 NFL Draft second round pick and a 2023 NFL Draft sixth round pick.
He also traded his 1st pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers, in exchange for the 9th and 61st overall pick, the 2024 NFL Draft first and second round pick, and for wide receiver Denniston Oliver D. J. Moore Jr.

Ryan rarely speaks about his love life in interviews, but has revealed that he’s today both a husband and father. He exchanged vows with American non-celebrity woman Katie Bud Poles on 1 July 2011, in a private ceremony attended by only the closest of their family members and friends; they have two children together, Jordyn and Mason, but their exact birthdates haven’t been disclosed.
Not a lot has been disclosed about Katie, because she prefers to maintain her privacy, but it’s known that she and Ryan met while they were both attending Canandaigua Academy; it’s also known that Katie once worked at i9 Sports as their program director.
Ryan hasn’t mentioned other women whom he’s maybe dated, he’s married to Katie Bud Poles as of March 2023, and they have two children together.

Ryan’s been physically active since his high school days, and he today works out at the gym nearly every day, while he also often exercises with the Chicago Bears.
