Who is Julian Ozanne?

Julian Ozanne was born under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius on 30 November 1956, in Kenya, East Africa, of British ethnicity. He’s a director, producer and social activist, but perhaps known best as the ex-husband of the popular “X-Files” star Gillian Anderson.

Early life and education

Julian was raised by his mother Patricia Ozanne, and most of his childhood he spent in the palace of the King Moshoeshoe II of Lesotho, in South Africa. According to sources, it’s possible that the King was his father, although these assumptions haven’t been confirmed.

Julian attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1974, he enrolled at the London School of Economics, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Science in 1978.

Career

After graduating, he moved to Uganda, East Africa, where he worked as the African correspondent for the Financial Times until the early 1990s, when he founded his start-up company New Forests, which had a business plan to build schools, and conserve species such as albizia, mahagony and musizi from rampant deforestation, however, the project was suspended.

In 1997, he was the associate producer of the episode “Playing with Fire” of the documentary “Panorama”, which won five British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, and two years later he produced the documentary “This Is Not an Exit: The Fictional World of Bret Easton Ellis”, followed by his work for the video documentary “Lara Croft: Lethal and Loaded”, and “Here to Where”.

Marriage with Gillian Anderson

Julian met Gillian in Kenya in 2002, during a safari, and they started dating; they announced their wedding in September 2003, however, for unknown reasons, it was delayed until 29 December 2004. The ceremony was in the village of Shella, Lamu, Kenya, a wonderful beach wedding in the presence of their families and friends.

They lived together in London, England, but after 16 months of marriage, they divorced; in April 2006, Gillian announced their separation, and the divorce was finalized on 4 July 2007.

The two didn’t have a child together, and as of late 2021, Julian seems to be single, or he prefers to keep his private life a secret.

Where is he now?

The last thing known about Julian’s career is that he worked as an advisor to investment banks from US and Europe, reached the position of Africa Bureau Chief, and became the spokesperson for Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation, a charitable organization.

Julian has no social media accounts, so it’s assumed that he prefers to keep his private life away from public attention.

He is 55 years old, with blonde hair and brown eyes; he weighs around 176lbs (80kgs) and is 5ft 11ins (1.8m) tall.
