David went to 1A Petrolia High School, where he started playing football, helping the team to win the Texas 1A State Championship. He transferred to S. H. Rider High School and continued by becoming part of the Rider Raiders high school football team. David proved to be a valuable asset as he became team captain in his senior year and posted great numbers, including 18 touchdowns. He also caught 91 passes for 1,641 receiving yards.

After showing his skills at high school level, young David received an athletic scholarship from the University of Florida in Gainesville,and continued to play football being coached by Urban Meyer. During his college career, David was the SEC Champion in 2006 and 2008, and the BCS National Champion in 2007 and 2009. He finished his college career with 46 receptions for 630 yards and scored seven touchdowns. One of his stand-out performances included four receptions in the game against the Alabama Crimson Tide, which was enough for 53 yards. David graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2009.

David then declared for the 2010 NFL Draft, but after being left undrafted, he signed with the Buffalo Bills, which marked the start of his professional career and his net worth. He stayed with the Bills until the end of the 2012 season, when his contract expired. During his stint in Bills, David played in 32 games and caught 94 receptions, which was enough for 1,042 receiving yards, and scored eight touchdowns.

After his contract expired, the Bills chose not to re-sign him, and he became a new player of the Cleveland Indians, but was cut by the team before the season started.

David then signed a contract with the New York Knicks, which only increased his net worth. He played in 12 games in 2013 season and caught 36 receptions which were enough for 423 receiving yards and two touchdowns, however, he was released by the Jets on the 18th October 2014, after the arrival of Percy Harvin.

His next stop was Pittsburgh and the NFL franchise the Steelers. He signed a contract worth $745,000 over one year, further increasing his wealth. However, luck turned its back on David again, as he suffered a shoulder injury during the first practice, and didn’t play a single game for the Steelers, as he was placed on the injured/reserve list following an MRI scan.

He is currently without engagement in the NFL.

Regarding his personal life, David was in a relationship with Kelsi Reich, a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, from 2010 until 2013. During the game between the Bills and Cowboys, David scored a touchdown and he walked to sidelines to find Kelsi after the touchdown, and the two embraced each other. After their moment of affection ended, David gave the scoring ball to Kelsi.

David is also known for his philanthropic endeavors; back in 2012 he and his brothers, Patrick, and Daniel traveled to Haiti. Once they became aware of the situation of orphaned children, they decided to start the non-profit organization I’mME, which has the aim of ending the orphan cycle.
