Who is Richard Williams III?

He’s only known as the brother of the tennis superstars, Venus and Serena Williams, and is their half-sibling from their father’s side. Richard Williams III prefers to keep his life away from the media’s attention, however, here are some facts about him.

Early life, family, and education

Richard Williams III is believed to have been born in the late ’60s and so is speculated to be around 55 years of age. His mother, Betty Johnson, married Richard Williams II, in the early 1960s, and besides Richard, they had four more children, namely Sabrina, Ronner, Reneeka and Reluss.

All of them prefer to live a low-key life, except Sabrina who decided to break the silence about her and her siblings, but who lived in poverty while their father was making millions with their half-sisters. After the premiere of the movie “King Richard” in 2021, Sabrina said that he was ‘only a king in his head’.

Sabrina told the US Sun that her father told her that he was going to buy her a bike, but never returned, adding that he dumped his wife and five kids, after which they struggled financially. Their mother, Betty, died of cancer, however, Sabrina said that long before her death, Betty stopped ‘giving a damn’ about Richard, the man who left her with five children, the youngest just an eight-week-old baby.

When it comes to Richard III’s educational background, it’s assumed that he is at least a high school matriculate.
