Who is Laurie Holden?
Heather Laurie Holden was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 17 December 1969 – her zodiac sign is Sagittarius, and she holds both American and Canadian nationality. She’s an actress and film producer, with close to 50 acting credits to her name, perhaps known best for her portrayal of Crimson Countess in the action crime series “The Boys”, created by Eric Kripke, and which stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid and Antony Starr. It follows a team of vigilantes who are trying to take down corrupt superheroes; the series has been airing since 2019, and has won eight of the 70 awards for which it’s been nominated, including six Primetime Emmy nominations.

Early life and education
Laurie was raised alongside her younger brother Christopher Holden in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, thus her dual citizenship; her mother Adrianne Ellis was an American actress, while her father Glenn Corbett was also a famous actor. Her parents eventually divorced, and her mother married British film director Michael Joseph Anderson; she has a half-sister from that marriage.
She was only 10 years old when she made her debut TV series appearance, playing Marie Wilder in the episodes “The Settlers” and “The Martians” of the 1980 mystery science fiction mini-series “The Martian Chronicles”, while she then spent the following six years focused on her education, and didn’t appear in any movies or TV series.
Laurie studied at Bishop Strachan School, and was mostly into playing sports during her four years there. Upon matriculating in 1988, she enrolled at McGill University, Montreal, but eventually transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in film and theatre in 1993. Roles in TV series
Laurie gained recognition in 1998, when cast to play Mary Travis in the popular action western “The Magnificent Seven”, created by Pen Densham and John Watson, and which starred Michael Biehn, Eric Close and Andrew Kavovit. It follows seven men who’ve contracted to defend an Indian village from former Confederate soldiers, the series aired from 1998 to 2000 and won two awards, including a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Costume Design for a Series, while it was nominated for three other awards.
A couple of Laurie’s most notable performances in the 2000s were perhaps in the fantasy horror drama “The Outer Limits”, the mystery crime drama “The X-Files”, and the thriller crime drama “The Shield”.
Between 2010 and 2013, Laurie played Andrea Harrison in the critically acclaimed horror thriller drama “The Walking Dead”, created by Frank Darabont, and which today stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride. It’s believed that Laurie dated famous American actor and comedian Jim Carrey in 2001; they were spotted spending time together on multiple occasions, but neither has addressed the rumors of them dating.
It’s also said that Laurie was in a relationship with Norman Reedus, a famous American actor who starred in the series “The Walking Dead”; they were apparently together for around a year.
As of August 2022, Laurie seems to be single, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies and other interests
Laurie was physically highly active in her 20s and 30s, and had five to six training sessions at the gym every week, mostly because it was important for her acting career to stay fit.
