Who is her former husband Ed?
American football coach of Cajun descent Edward James ‘Ed’ Orgeron Jr., was born in Larose, Louisiana USA, on 27 July 1961, under the zodiac sign of Leo; until recently, Ed worked at Louisiana State University as head football coach.
Ed was raised in Larose alongside his brother Steve, by their mother Cornelia ‘Co ‘Co’ Orgeron and father Edward ‘Ba Ba’ Orgeron Sr., who passed away in 2011. He began playing football while studying at South Lafourche High School (Galliano, Louisiana); the school was at that point also attended by Bobby Joseph Hebert Jr., who’s since become a famous sportscaster, and is a former football quarterback. As teenagers, Ed and Bobby played together on their school’s Class 4A team, competing in the 1977 state championship.
Ed completed his high school education in 1979 and then began attending Louisiana State University on a football scholarship; he moved to Northwestern State University after only a year, graduating in 1984.
Upon receiving his Bachelor’s degree, Ed became a graduate assistant coach at Northwestern, and after a year there became a coach of the McNeese State Cowboys. Not long after that, he joined the University of Arkansas as an assistant strength coach, but only attracted attention in 1988, after having joined the University of Miami, working as the university’s Hurricanes’ defensive line coach under head coach Jimmy Johnson – the Hurricanes won national championships in 1989 and 1991, and it’s also interesting to note that Ed had recruited Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the Hurricanes’ defensive lineman; Dwayne’s since become a famous Hollywood actor.

The following years saw Ed faced many problems, as a woman filed a restraining order against him in 1991, while he was arrested for a bar fight in the following year. He took a break from his job in 1992, which soon turned out to be permanent; Ed spent this time working on his private life.
He was back to coaching in 1994, having joined Nicholls State University, then joined Syracuse University in 1995, staying with them for three years. Ed next became the University of Southern California’s defensive line coach in 1998, and in 2003 became assistant head coach.
He became head coach at the University of Mississippi in 2004, but was fired on 24 November 2007. Ed became the defensive line coach of the New Orleans Saints, competing in National Football League (NFL), on 23 January 2008, and was in December of the same year appointed as assistant coach at the University of Tennessee.
Ed was in 2010 once again hired to work at University of Southern California, this time as their assistant coach, and was promoted to head coach on 29 September 2013, and resigned in December of the same year.
He joined Louisiana State University as defensive line coach in 2015, but was let go on 17 October 2021.
Ed’s also a bit of an actor, having appeared in the 2009 biographical sports movie “The Blind Side”.
