Who is Allison Dunbar?

American actress, model and TV personality Allison Dunbar Barron was born in Delaware, USA in 1973, and although the exact date of her birth remains undisclosed, Scorpio’s believed to be her zodiac sign. She’s appeared in more than 60 movies and TV series, and is perhaps known best for playing Kelly in six episodes of the popular crime thriller series “StartUp”, created by Ben Ketai, and which starred Adam Brody, Edi Gathegi and Otmara Marrero. It follows a Cuban-American hacker, a Haitian-American gang lord and a desperate banker who’ve formed their own crime organization, the series aired from 2016 through 2018, and was nominated for only a single award.

Education and early life

Allison and her brother Christopher Barron were raised in Delaware by their mother Wendy Barron who was the Dean of Villanova University’s School of Law, and father Timothy Barron who worked as Deputy Attorney General.

Allison fell in love with acting while attending St. Mark High School, where she was a member of its drama club and appeared in a number of plays performed there. She matriculated in 1991 and then enrolled at Fordham University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in theater and psychology in 1995.

Roles in TV series

Allison’s debut TV series role was playing Allison Marissa Hall in the 1994 episode “Doubles” of the crime mystery “Law & Order”, and she could then have been seen appearing in an episode of the comedy “Wings”, the crime mystery “Silk Stalkings” and the comedy “Cybill”.

In 2000 and 2001, Allison played Hedda Hummer in the comedy “Strip Mall”, which starred Julie Brown, Jim O’Heir and Tim Bagley, and follows a former actress whose career ended when she accidentally killed her co-star Captain Billy. The year 2000 saw Allison appear in three movies: the fantasy horror comedy “The Convent”, the drama “Time of Her Time”, and the action adventure “Daybreak”. The year 2001 saw her play Connie Eldridge in the action science fiction thriller “Falcon Down”, directed by Phillip J. Roth, and which starred Dale Midkiff, William Shatner and Judd Nelson. Ron was married to American jewelry designer Opal from 14 February 1981 through 2019, and they also have two children.
