Cara Whitney is an American author and radio DJ who is perhaps better-known for being the spouse of the stand-up comedian, country music singer-songwriter and actor Daniel Lawrence Whitney, known professionally by the name Larry the Cable Guy.

Age, Early Life, and Education Background

Cara Wayans was born in 1976 in Wisconsin, USA, and is 46 years old as of 2022. She was raised in her birth town by her parents who owned a large farm and were cattle keepers. However, she has kept their names hidden, nor is it known if she has siblings. Unsurprisingly, Cara grew up very interested in animals, especially horses.

Whitney attended a local high school, and as a student was keen on creative writing and acting. While she hasn’ot disclosed her additional education background, it is widely speculated that she went to college and graduated in 1998.

Cara is a philanthropist, and has partnered with her husband to create an NGO which donates to families facing financial constraints, and people living with disability; they’ve donated millions of dollars to several rehabilitation centers such as Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital ($1million) and have also founded a non-profit organization, The Git-R-Done Foundation, which helps war veterans and underprivileged Children.

Cara’s son was born with a condition called hip dysplasia, but he recovered after being treated at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital – her family later donated $5 million to the medical center to facilitate the building of an International Hip Dysplasia Institute. It was their son’s illness, which can cripple if left untreated, that motivated Cara’s family to start their NGO.

They welcomed their first-born child, son Wyatt Whitney on 2 August 2006, and on 29 October 2007 bore a daughter they named Reagan. The family is now residing in Arizona.

Daniel Lawrence Whitney is a well-known name in the American entertainment industry; he was born under the Aquarius zodiac sign on 17 February 1963, in Pawnee City, Nebraska, and is presently 69 years old. He was raised by his father, Tom, an entertainer, guitarist, and pig farmer, and his mother Shirley, a homemaker. He attended The King’s Academy and later joined Berean Christian School in the early ’80s.
