Scott Steiner was born Scott Carl Johnson Rechsteiner on 29 July 1962 in Bay City, Michigan. He is a professional wrestler best known for his fights in World Champion Wrestling. He has also wrestled for Total Nonstop Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Federation/ Entertainment, and Jim Crockett Promotions. Besides Scott Steiner, some of his other ring names include Steiner Tiger and Scott Rechsteiner.

Scott Steiner started as an armature wrestler, wrestling at the University of Michigan where he schooled. As a freshman at the University, he managed to finish fifth, before being ranked sixth nationwide in his senior year. Scott decided to take his passion a notch higher, becoming a professional wrestler in 1986. He started well, defeating The Great Wojo to win the WWA World Heavyweight Championship on 14 August 1986 in the city of Dearborn, Michigan. In 1988, he joined Continental Wrestling Association, forming a tag team with fellow wrestler Billy Joe Travis to win CWA World Tag Team Championship after defeating Cuban Choir Boys on May 29 that same year.

From 1988 to 1992, he joined World Championship Wrestling together with his brother, Rick Steiner, and won the NWA World Tag Team Championship on 1 November 1989. They left and joined World Wrestling Foundation, where they wrestled until 1994. On 11 January 1993, he appeared on the very first episode or Raw, before moving to Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1995. Here he defeated wrestlers like Vampire Warrior (Gangrel), Dudley Dudley and Stevie Richards. In 1996, he returned to WCW, where he defeated Harlem Heat to win the World Tag Team Championship. He stayed there for five years, and in 2001 he moved to World Wrestling All-Stars until 2002. In his personal life, Scott Steiner married Christa Podsedly in 2000 and the couple has two children. He lives with his wife in Detroit, Michigan.
