Savannah was born in Melbourne, where her father was working, however, the family moved back to the USA, precisely Tucson, Arizona, when she was two years old. Regarding her education, Savannah attended the Amphitheter High School, and then enrolled at the prestigious University of Arizona, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism, cum laude.

Following her graduation, it wasn`t hard for Savanna to find her first job, thanks to recommendations from University, and in no time she was hired as broadcaster for the KMIZ, a local TV station in Columbia, Missouri. She stayed there for two years, before she decided to return to Tucson, and take the job on the NBC`s affiliate station KVOA. While working at KVOA, she slowly started to build up her career as a journalist, and her net worth, and after five years she moved to Washington DC and another NBC affiliate WRC-TV.

While in Washington, she managed to cover some breaking news, such as the 2001 Pentagon attacks and Anthrax mailings, which increased her net worth and also her popularity. Side by side with her career, Savannah also dedicated herself to further education, as she enrolled at the Georgia University Law Center, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2002, and receiving her law degree. For a short time she worked in litigation at the Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld law firm, and in 2004, Savannah`s net worth increased when she was hired as a national trial correspondent for CourtTV. Savannah covered some of the high profile trials, including Michael Jackson`s and the Martha Stewart Case.

In 2007, Savannah was promoted to the correspondent position of the NBC, and soon became the White House correspondent, and a lsoshe worked on Sarah Palin`s unsuccessful vice-presidential campaign in 2008. Her career on NBC has just begun, but she progressed quickly, becoming the anchor of the NBC News and co-anchor of the NBC Nightly News, which certainly increased her net worth.

To speak further of her career on NBC, she became NBC News’s Chief Legal Analyst in 2011, and in 2012 she was promoted to co-anchor The Today Show, alongside Mat Lauer, which soon became the main source of her net worth, as her salary is reportedly $500,000 per year.

Regarding her personal life, Savannah has been married to political consultant Michael Feldman since 2014, with whom she has a daughter. She was previously married to BBC new presenter Mark Orchard from 2005 until 2009.
