Rebecca Ann Staab was born on 27 July 1961 under the Leo zodiac sign, in Hays, Kansas, USA, the only child of parents involved in the real estate industry. She grew up in Ralston, Nebraska, USA, and matriculated from Ralston Senior High School, from which she earned a 4.0 GPA. Modeling Career

Before she launched her acting career, Rebecca built her portfolio as a model. She spent three years in professional modeling waters, working out in France, Italy, Germany and Japan, including gracing a number of covers of various magazines. She eventually settled in New York, where she continued working with the Ford Modeling agency, before she booked her first acting audition in 1983.

Rebecca portrayed punk-rocker Cecelia Thompson in the daytime soap opera “Loving” in 1983, and continued her career with another soap opera role, as Jesse Matthews in “Guiding Light”, appearing in 17 episodes of one of the longest-running and most popular series. Before the end of the decade, Rebecca appeared in a couple of other series, including “Matlock”, “Father Dowling Mysteries”, and “Hard Time on Planet Earth”, all in 1989.

In 1991 she appeared as Daphne Collins in three episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-winning romantic horror-drama series “Dark Shadows”, which starred Ben Cross, Barbara Blackburn, and Jim Fyfe.

The same year, she was Arlene in the romantic comedy film “The Marrying Man”, starring Kim Basinger, Alec Baldwin, and Robert Loggia, while in 1992, she guest-starred as Debbie in one episode of the multiple Primetime Emmy Award-winning TV comedy-drama series “Cheers”.

The following year she portrayed Ellen Sommers in the TV mini-series “Trade Winds”, and had a minor role in the TV series “Love & War”.

In 1994, Rebecca was chosen to play Susan Storm, a.k.a. the Invisible Girl, in the superhero film “The Fantastic Four”, which tells the story of four superheroes, their origin, and the first encounter with the infamous Doctor Doom. In 1995, Rebecca featured in the short-lived TV drama series “Live Shot” that starred Sam Anderson, David Birney, and Wanda De Jesus.
