Who is Miguel Varoni?
A producer, director, host, and actor with over 35 credits to his name, Miguel Americo Belloto Gutirrez was born under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius on 11 December 1964, in Buenos Aires, Argentina; he holds Argentinian nationality although he comes from a family of Colombian descent. Early life, family, and education
Miguel was raised in Buenos Aires, by his father Americo Belloto, whose occupation is unrevealed, and his mother Teresa Gutirrez, a famous Colombian actress, known best for her roles in series from the late ‘50s until 2007, who was born on 25 October 1928, and died at the age of 81, on 9 March 2010. His sister, Ilija Beloto, is also secretive when it comes to her personal life, but Miguel’s niece, Ilija’s daughter Majida Issa followed in her grandmother’s and uncle’s steps and became an actress, too.
From his mother, Miguel also has a half-brother, Luis Albert Granados, who prefers to keep his private life away from the media’s attention, and a half-sister, actress Maria Margarita Giraldo Gutierrez – Maria is the eldest, born in 1950, perhaps known best for her role in the series “Pasion de Gavinales”.
Speaking about Miguel’s educational background, he attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1982, although he hasn’t spoken about his education, people assume that he enrolled at one of the prestigious colleges, to earn his degree in acting and filmmaking.
Acting career
Miguel launched his acting career in 1986, debuting in the series “Gallito Ramirez”, in which he portrayed Arturo Sanclamente, followed by his roles in “El Angel de Piedra”, “Garzas al Amanecer”, and “No Jueges Con Mi Vida”.
In the early ‘90s, Miguel was cast to play Daniel Clemente in “La Potra Zaina”, before his roles in “Las Juanas”, “La Sombra del Arco Iris” and “La Caponera”, followed by his most significant role as Pedro Coral Tavera in “Pedro el Escamoso”, in 2001. His character from the series was a Colombian macho guy, womanizer, and an avid dancer, and for this role, Miguel had to work out every day to keep in shape.
In the following years, Miguel was seen as Miguel Angel Buenaventura in “Seguro y Urgente”, and in 2007 he had his first movie role as Emilio Lopez in “Ladron Que Roba a Ladron”, an action adventure comedy, also starring Fernando Colunga and Julie Gonzalo.
Miguel made an appearance as Javier in an episode of the series produced by National Broadcasting Company (NBC), entitled “My Name Is Earl”, alongside Jaime Pressly, Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee, in this comedy drama which had 74 award nominations and won 15, including five Primetime Emmys.
In 2010, he was cast to play Nando Barragan in “Ojo por Ojo”, followed by roles in “Behind Closed Doors”, “Fearless Heart”, and “El Senor de Los Cielos”, among others. Nowadays Miguel is working as producer and director for the Telemundo popular television network.

It’s widely known that since 1999, he’s been in a happy marriage with his wife, Catherine Siachoque, a Columbian actress, mostly known for her roles as a villainess in numerous series. She was born on 21 January 1972, her zodiac sign is Aquarius, and she hasn’t been married before.
The two met while they were both acting in the series “Las Juanas”, and started dating in 1996, and today after over 25 years, they are still together; they don’t have children, apparently becausae Catherine doesn’t see herself as a mother, and has talked about this, saying:

In December 2021, some photos of Miguel were leaked, and people commented on how thin he looks, rumoring that he’s sick or maybe became vegan, however, his wife stated that neither of this is true, and that he lost weight because he was infected with Covid-19 ,and that the virus also affected on his memory.
In February 2022, Miguel had surgery on his face and abdomen, since his weight loss had an impact on his body, and his skin was sagging.
His surgeon, Alan Gomez, said that the reason for this was extreme weight loss in a short period, and that caused his aging process to accelerate.
When Miguel shared photos of his ‘new look’ with his Instagram followers, whose number counts nearly two million, comments were various; some supported his decision to make changes, while others were telling him that he should accept his look and age.
However, the number of those who liked his new look is sizeable, and he has received numerous messages from his celebrity friends saying that he’s looking great.

Miguel is 57 but is certainly now looking much younger; his hair is gray, but he has a new modern haircut and grows a beard, which makes him more muscular. His eyes are dark brown, and nowadays he weighs around 165lbs (75kgs), and he stands at a height of 6ft 3ins (1.90m).
