Who is Lee Kirk?

Lee Kirk was born in Texas, USA on 9 October 1972 – his zodiac sign is Libra, and he holds American nationality. He’s an actor, film writer and director, while he’s perhaps known best for having written and directed the critically acclaimed 2012 romantic comedy movie “The Giant Mechanical Man”. It starred his wife Jenna Fischer, Chris Messina and Topher Grace, and follows a zoo worker who has fallen in love with a street performer.

Early life and education

Lee was raised in Texas by his parents, but about whom nothing’s known as he respects their privacy; it’s said that his father was involved in the film industry, and that his mother was a singer. Because he hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, his fans believe him to be an only child.

Lee became interested in acting while still attending an elementary school, mostly because he watched movies and TV series with his family nearly every night. He started practicing creative writing upon enrolling at high school, while he was into a number of other activities, including playing soccer and dancing.

Lee matriculated in 1990, and although he hasn’t spoken of his further education, it’s widely believed that he attended college, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1994.

He worked various jobs for the following six years, prior to launching his acting career.

Career as an actor

Lee has appeared in two movies and two TV series. He made his debut film appearance in the 2000 action fantasy comedy “The Specials”, directed by Craig Mazin, and which starred Rob Lowe, Thomas Haden Church and Paget Brewster. It follows the seventh most powerful superhero team on Earth, as they’re trying to best the other teams.

In 2008, Lee played Brad Spoofer in the comedy movie “Pants on Fire”, and the same year saw him make his debut TV series appearance, with his portrayal of Schroeder, in the episodes “A Very Peanus Christmas” and “Peanus” of the short comedy “PG Porn”.

His only other role has been his portrayal of Clark, in the 2010 episode “The Delivery: Part 2” of the hit comedy “The Office”.

It was created by Greg Daniels and Ricky Gervais, starred Steve Carell, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer, and follows the typical workdays of office workers; the series aired from 2005 to 2013, and won 56 awards, including five Primetime Emmys, while it was nominated for 195 other awards.

Writing and directing credits

Lee has six writing and three directing credits, including “The Giant Mechanical Man”.

He made his writing debut with the 2003 short comedy movie “The Man Who Invented the Moon”, and the following year saw him write the short comedy “The Women”. In 2005, Lee wrote the short comedy “The Benefits of Drinking Whiskey”, and then his first feature in 2008 – the comedy “Pants on Fire”.

It was directed by Colin Campbell, starred also Joseph Sikora and Sean Gunn as well as our Lee, and follows a struggling actor whose friends have come to visit him in Hollywood.

In 2013, he directed the episode “Vandalism” of the series “The Office”, and in 2016, Lee wrote and directed the popular musical comedy movie “Ordinary World”. It starred Billie Joe Armstrong, Fred Armisen and Judy Greer, and follows a former punk rocker, who’s still learning to cope with ‘life after rock’.

He exchanged vows with Jenna Fischer on 3 July 2010, in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, California, attended by only the closest of their friends and family members; they had become engaged on 30 June 2009. On 24 September 2011, Jenna gave birth to their son Weston Lee Kirk, and on 25 May 2014, to their daughter Harper Marie Kirk.

Regina Marie ‘Jenna’ Fischer was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana USA, on 7 March 1974 – her zodiac sign is Pisces, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress, film writer and producer, who has appeared in close to 50 movies and TV series, perhaps still known best for her portrayal of the supporting character Shelby, in the 2006 science fiction horror comedy movie “Slither”. It was written and directed by James Gunn, starred Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks and Michael Rooker, and follows the people who have survived an alien plague, which has turned the residents of a small town into zombies; the movie won two of the seven awards for which it was nominated.

Jenna was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, alongside her younger sister Emily, by their father James E. Fischer who was an engineer, and their mother Anne (nee Miller) who was a history teacher; Emily today works as a third grade teacher. Jenna’s best friend while growing up was the now popular American actor Sean Gunn –  the two took part in an acting workshop when Jenna was only six years old.
