Born in Savannah, Georgia, but raised in The Bronx, New York City, Harrington is the son of Michael Harrington and Mary Harrington. He studied at St. Margaret’s of Cortona and laterat Fordham Preparatory School. He then attended Manhattan College, but didn’t finish a degree.
