How rich is Dave Turin? As of mid-2016, sources estimate his net worth at $2 million, mostly earned through the success of their mining endeavors and the show “Gold Rush”. Dave Turin Net Worth $2 Million

Turin started off in high school as a football player and star athlete. He would continue this trend into college but then decided to complete his civil engineering degree, after which he joined his family rock quarry business which has been running for more than 25 years.

Eventually, he became a consultant to the Porcupine Creek gold mining claim, and as he continued to work there he became committed and started working with the crew full time. He took a break from the family business, convincing the rest of his family that he’d be able to return home with riches after pursuing gold mining. He’s now featured on the show “Gold Rush” produced by Discovery Channel as one of the miners trying to acquire large amounts of gold. The show has become popular, showing for multiple seasons and becoming one of the most watched shows on the channel. While Turin has little expertise in terms of mining, he’s very experienced in terms of moving earth and keeping miners safe. The crew is often seen in Alaska and the Klondike mountains where they have a mining claim. He’s also very good with operating construction equipment, working mostly with the Hoffmans.

After a failure in mining in Guyana, he briefly joined the Dodge brothers (Derek and Freddy) but then went back to the Hoffmans and helped them secure gold in season five. They went to work at the McKinnon Creek Claim and he was responsible for most of the equipment they used there. One of the more notable events that he participated in was the Indian River Claim, where his crew secured most of the gold for the entire season.

“Gold Rush” started airing during October 2015, and featured various teams of miners around the Yukon Territory. It was originally named “Gold Rush: Alaska” but was renamed after the first season. During the second season of the show the Hoffman family found the highest amount of gold valued at $150,000. During the next season however, they mined 803 ounces of gold worth $1.28 million. With the help of Dave they continued their mining success during the fifth and sixth seasons earning $1.6 million and $3 million respectively.

For his personal life, it is known that Dave is married to Shelly who was his high school sweetheart. They have three children and two grandchildren.
