Meaney was born on the 30th May 1953, in Dublin, Ireland and is an actor perhaps best known to the world for his portrayal of Chief Miles O’ Brien in the TV series “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” (1993-1999), then as Duncan Malloy in the film “Con Air”, and as Don Revie in “The Damned United” (2009), among other differing roles. Meaney’s career started in 1978.

Two years later Colm had the lead role in the fantasy drama “A Lobster Tale”, and in 2009 featured in the thriller “Law Abiding Citizen”, next to Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx. Colm continued with acting into this decade with the lead role in the film “Parked” (2010), with Colin Morgan and Milka Ahlroth, and then in 2011 starred in the film “The Perfect Stranger”. The same year Colm was selected for the role of Thomas ‘Doc’ Durant in the TV series “Hell on Wheels” (2011-2016), and in 2013 Colm appeared in the Golden Globe Award- nominated biographical drama “One Chance”, all of which increased further his net worth.
