Who is Martyn LeNoble?
Born on 14th April 1969, in Vlaardigen, South Holland, Netherlands, Martyn LeNoble is a musician, also known for being the husband of Christina Applegate, actress of “Bad Moms” fame. At 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall and weighing 17lbs (78kgs), the Aries currently resides in Los Angeles with his spouse and family.
Musical Career
Martyn’s musical career began in his adolescence, as he joined a punk rock band in his home country when 14 years old. Six years later, he relocated to Los Angeles and played with the Too Free Stoges and Thelonious Monster as their bassist; in 1992, the band released the album “Beautiful Mess” through Capitol Records.

Branching out in the same year, Martyn formed Porno for Pyros with bandmates Perry Farrell, Stephen Perkins and Peter DiStefano. The band’s self-titled debut album was released in 1993, followed by their sophomore project, “Good God’s Urge” in 1996. Two years later the band broke up, and went their separate ways. In the same year, Martyn played bass on Scott Weiland’s album “12 Bar Blues”, released via Atlantic Records, and in 1999, he worked on Perry Farrell’s compilation project “Rev”. Other artists who Martyn has toured or recoded with include Daniel Lanois, Layne Staley, Josh Klinghoffer and Dave Gahan.
In April 2009, the original members of Porno for Pyros reunited, and performed at Perry’s 50th birthday bash. Two years later, Perry tweeted: “One day, more Porno for Pyros”, hinting at future reunions. Fans were sent into a tailspin when Peter announced that the band would be active in 2013, with Perry confirming the news in summer of the same year via Facebook, but negotiations fell through, as several years passed by with no news from the band. Finally, the band – sans Martyn, who was replaced by the bassists Mike Watts – announced that they’d be reuniting for a free four-night YouTube broadcast event from 30th July to 2nd August of 2020.
A year later, Peter announced on his Facebook page that he was working on new material, alongside Perry and Stephen; Martyn wasn’t mentioned in the post.
Personal Life
Martyn and Christina began dating in 2008, a year after the actress divorced Johnathon Schaech for unknown reasons. Three years after Martyn proposed on Valentine’s Day, the couple were married in February 2013 in a low-key ceremony attended by friends and family, including their daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble who was born on 27th January 2011. Martyn supports his wife in all her professional ventures and has also stood by the actress’s side throughout her challenging health journey.
In August 2021, the star revealed that she’d been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis some months prior, and described her experience a “tough road”. The celebrity’s diagnoses brought awareness of MS, an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system, which can lead to the myelin sheath – the insulation surrounding some nerves in the body – being destroyed. Symptoms include, but are not limited to, balance issues, bowel and bladder dysfunction, and muscle spasticity. The disease is incurable, but can be managed with medications, with other treatments including physical therapy and specialized diets. Sadly, this isn’t the first time Christina has struggled with her health: in 2008, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a grueling double mastectomy.
In a soul-baring May 2019 interview, the actress opened up about her body image issues since the procedure, adding: “I think about it every day… You’re never not aware that that’s something you’ve been through. Everything looks different”. In a case of art imitating life, Christina’s character in the hit Netflix series “Dead to Me” also underwent a double mastectomy, after her mother’s death from breast cancer. What many fans of the “traumedy” – a traumatic comedy – don’t know is that Christina herself asked the show’s creator, Liz Feldman, if the operation could be part of her character’s backstory. “It’s a horribly painful process and I never really talked about it. I thought this was my chance to tell a little bit about me, but also all the women that have gone through that”, the celeb explained.
Christina
Born on 25th November 1971, in Hollywood, California, Christina got an early start in Hollywood with help from her mother, the actress and singer-songwriter Nancy Priddy. Nancy’s husband Robert Applegate also had links to Hollywood, through his work as a record producer and record company executive. Christina was raised in a single-parent household, as her parents divorced shortly after her birth. Still an infant, the beautiful blonde appeared in the long-running TV soapie “Days Of Our Lives”, alongside her mother, as well as doing commercial work for Playtex baby bottles and other brands. The actress’s cinematographic debut came in 1981, with her role in “Jaws of Satan”, a grisly horror film which is now considered a classic amongst fans of the genre.
Other notable roles in Christina’s career include her depiction of a young Grace Kelly in the 1983 television biopic of the same name, and her performance as a policeman’s daughter in “Heart of the City” which led to her winning a Young Artist Award. However, her big break didn’t come until 1987, when the Californian played the beautiful but dizzy Kelly Bundy in “Married… With Children”, Fox’s first sitcom. When the show ended in 1997, Christina was offered a spin-off series based on her character, but turned the offer down to pursue other artistic avenues. The following year, she became the protagonist of NBC’s sitcom “Jesse”, and attracted rave reviews.
Despite the series being cancelled in 2000, Christina walked away with a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Performer in a New Television Series, and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy. The actress has no official social media, although one fan account dedicated to supporting her has over 150,000 followers.
Net Worth
Reliable sources estimate Martyn’s net worth to be close to $500,000, with his beautiful wife reputedly being worth a healthy $25 million, thanks largely to her role as Kelly Bundy, and other successful performances.
