Christopher David Chris Noth was born on 13th November 1954, in Madison, Wisconsin USA, of German and Irish descent, and is a veteran TV and movie star perhaps best known for his roles in the famous TV legal drama series “Law and Order”, and “Sex and the City”.

Chris lost his father, Charles James Noth, an attorney, when he was 12, and lived in different parts of the UK, Spain and Czechoslovakia with his two older brothers and his CBS news reporter mother Jeanne Parr. He eventually graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in drama from the Yale School of Drama, where he was coached by Stanford Meisner, and where he performed in about 25 plays. Noth then worked with a number of theatre companies including the Manhattan Theatre Club before making his debut on television in 1982. TV shows and small roles in movies like “Off Beat” (1986) and “Baby Boom” (1987). followed, before Noth rose to prominence playing Det. Mike Logan in “Law and Order” for five seasons from 1990-95. Noth co-owns a music venue, “The Cutting Room” in NYC with former Berklee student, Steve Walter. Opened in 1999 employing Tara Lynn Wilson, Noth fell in love with Wilson and married her in 2012. The two have a son named Orion Christopher Noth, who was born in 2008.

Noth co-owned a semi-private club “The Plumm” with Noel Ashman, Damon Dash, Joey McIntyre, David Wells, Ann Dexter-Jones and Bo Dietl. Noth and Wilson also ran a tea-party themed restaurant called “Once upon a Tea Cup”. The franchise had branches in Windsor and London, Ontario.

Noth has also performed as a singer and now supports Da Marino of New York. With so many talents a successful continuation of Chris’ career seems assured.
