Ann Curry Net Worth is
$10 Million

Ann Curry Biography

Ann Curry was born on 19 November 1956, on Guam, a Pacific island of the USA, of Cherokee,  Scottish, French, German and Irish (father) and Japanese(mother) descent, and is a television personality and journalist, perhaps best known as a television anchor for the NBC network.

So just how rich is Ann Curry? According to authoritative sources, Ann’s net worth is estimated to be over $10 million as of mid-2016, the majority coming from her involvement in the entertainment industry, and in particular the morning NBC television show called “The Today Show” – Ann Curry’s yearly salary from this show alone has been estimated to amount to $2 million.

Ann Curry Net Worth $10 Million

Ann Curry’s father was in the US Navy when he met her mother in Japan after World War 2, and Ann was schooled in Japan before eventually matriculating from Ashland High School in Oregon, and then graduating from the University of Oregon in 1978 with a BA degree in journalism.

Ann Curry started her career at the KTVL station, where she was initially an intern, but over the years Curry rose higher and eventually took up the position a news reporter, becoming the first female at KTVL to reach the position. She went on to work at KGW, and later at KCBS-TV as a reporter – the latter job earned her two Emmy Awards. Curry rose to fame in 1990 when she began working at the “NBC News” broadcast network, and then advanced to “NBC News at Sunrise”, where she firstly worked as a correspondent and later as the anchor. Her net worth was wel established.

From 1994 until 1997, Curry had the job of a substitute anchor at a television show that she is mostly recognized from – “Today” or “The Today Show”, which she was part of for almost fourteen years, as she until 2011. Curry became one of the longest serving anchors of the “Today”, only falling behind Frank Blair, a famous news anchor and journalist who has been part of the show for over twenty years. When Curry was working for “The Today Show”, she also appeared as a co-anchor on a news magazine series called “Dateline NBC” where she worked alongside Stone Phillips. When Phillips left the show, Ann Curry had the position of the primary anchor on “Dateline NBC”.

In addition to that, Curry worked as an anchor on another television news program called “NBC Nightly News”. With the amount of work Curry has been receiving over the years, it is needless to say that her net worth has been on the increase. Throughout her career as a journalist, as well as an anchor, Ann Curry has made reports from such places as Sri Lanka, Rwanda, Darfur and Albania. She has also interviewed many influential people, including a former general of the United States Army Tommy Franks, and a former president of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

In 2012, Ann Curry announced that she would be leaving “The Today Show”, after almost fourteen years spent working on it. Currently, Curry is working as an NBC News National and International Correspondent, as well as NBC’s News Special Anchor.

In her personal life, Ann Curry has been married to Brian Ross for over 30 years; they have two children, and they reside in New Canaan, Connecticut. She is an active participant in various charities, such as “Save the Children”, “Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation”, and “Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation”.
