Hendricks p, mjs, mjd, news - Diane Hendricks discusses her business, ABC Supply in Beloit. Hendricks is among the richest women in the U.S., estimated by Forbes to be worth $2.1 billion. She's the widow of Ken Hendricks, founder of building-materials distributor ABC Supply. Ken died not quite three years ago. Since then Diane, 63, apparently has continued to keep an active hand in ABC, which earlier this year acquired a major competitor at the same time it has struggled through the housing downturn. She's been playing an active civic role in Beloit, leading initiatives in economic development and the arts. She's become more active politically than Ken was, making large campaign donations, writing a recent op-ed in USA Today and hosting a private visit in October by George W. and Laura Bush. She's also involved in movie financing, bankrolling three films by right-leaning director Stephen McEveety, who earlier did "Braveheart" and "Passion of the Christ." Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Diane attended Osseo-Fairchild High School and matriculated in 1965.
