Sarah Wayne Callies was born in La Grange, Illinois USA, on 1 June 1977 – her zodiac sign is Gemini, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress, film writer and director, who has appeared in more than 20 movies and TV series, and is perhaps known best for her portrayal of Sara Tancredi, in the action crime series “Prison Break”. It was created by Paul T. Scheuring, starred Dominic Purcell, Wentworth Miller and Amaury Nolasco, and follows a man who has tattooed a map on his body, and has deliberately got himself sent to prison to break out his brother, who has been imprisoned even though he’s innocent. The series aired from 2005 to 2017, and won eight of the 41 awards for which it was nominated, including a Primetime Emmy nomination.
Sarah was raised an only child, in Honolulu, Hawaii, by her father David E. Callies and mother Valerie Wayne, both of whom were professors at the University of Hawaii, Manoa – the family moved to Hawaii after Sarah had turned one. She studied at Punahou School, and during her 12 years there appeared in numerous plays, performed both at the school and at a community theatre.
