Juman Malouf was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1975 – she hasn’t shared her exact date of birth, but her zodiac sign is believed to be Aquarius, and she holds both Lebanese and British nationality. Early life and education
Juman was only three months old when her family fled the Lebanese Civil War to Saudi Arabia, where they spent only around a year before moving to London in England. In 2009, she received special thanks for, and voiced Agnes in the animated adventure comedy movie “Fantastic Mr. Fox”, directed by her boyfriend Wes, and which starred George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Bill Murray. It follows a fox who has raided farms, and now has to help his community fend off the farmers who are seeking revenge; the movie won 32 of the 97 awards for which it was nominated, including two Oscar nominations.
Juman again received special thanks for doing book cover paintings for the 2012 critically acclaimed romantic comedy movie “Moonrise Kingdom”, which was written and directed by her boyfriend, and won 36 of the 159 awards for which it was nominated, including an Oscar nomination. In 2014, she drew Jerome’s drawings and received special thanks for the romantic action movie “Young Ones”, and the same year saw her illustrate characters for the adventure crime comedy film “The Grand Budapest Hotel”.
