Johanes Hendrikus Hubert de Mol, Jr. was born on 24 April 1955, in The Hague, Netherlands, and is a media tycoon, a well-known personality in the Netherlands best known for being responsible for the productions companies Talpa and Endemol. In 2000 he sold his share of the company to Telefonica, but still served as the creative director of Endemol until 2004. For his personal life, it is known that John was married to actress Willeke Alberti from 1976 to ’80, and their son is actor Johnny de Mol. De Mol’s sister is actress Linda de Mol who’s appeared in several Endemol’s programs such as “Deal or no Deal”.
