Alicia Marie Sacramone is a native of Boston, Massachusetts, and was born under the Sagittarius zodiac sign on 3 December 1987 – which makes her 34 years old as of 2022 – the daughter of the salon owner and hairstylist Gail Sacramone, and her husband, orthodontist Fred Sacramone. Career

Alicia trained under Silvia and Mihai Brestyan at Brestyan’s Gymnastics center. Alicia joined Brown University’s gymnastic team in 2006 and during her first year recorded the highest all-round scores, breaking the school’s record; she was crowned ECAC Rookie of the Year for her performance. She later competed in three 2007 National Championships events, and her skills saw her selected to represent the US team in the World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany.

She later worked as a volunteer assistant coach for her school’s team. During an interview at a Boston Bruins game, she confirmed that she would be retiring in 2009, however, she soon  announced that she would continue in elite competition in August 2009. Subsequently, she performed on the beam and vault during the October World Championships, and won the silver and gold medal respectively. In 2011, Sacramone signed a contract with Under Armour, which would provide her with competitive apparel for all her domestic competitions. She later qualified for Visa National Championships in 2012, and placed third on the beam and first in the vault, then retired from gymnastics later that year.

Alicia has briefly worked as an actress – in 2008, she appeared in several TV series including “Beijing 2008: Games of the XXIX Olympiad,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Bonnie Hunt Show,” and “The Best Damn Sports Show Period.” She has also appeared in the TV specials “Frosted Pink with a Twist” and “Progressive Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular.” Moreover, she is credited for playing Hallway Gymnast 2 in the sports film “Fall Out” in 2015.

In 2008, Alicia signed with CoverGirl and became their spokesmodel together with Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson. She later served as a spokeswoman for the firm Team 24 Fitness.
