Career Beginnings
Following her graduation, Jennifer was hired by USA Today, and it was during her work there that she met her future husband, Kevin Smith; she interviewed him for an assignment, that sparked a romance between them. She then worked for a short time for MTV, but became more focused on her family, before later launching an acting career.

In 2001, Kevin cast Jennifer as Missy, one of the diamond robbers in the film “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back”, co-starring himself, Jason Mewes, and Ben Affleck. She continued her career by appearing in Smith’s projects, including the romantic comedy-drama film “Jersey Girl”, starring Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler and Raquel Castro, then in the highly popular award-winning sequel of “Clerks”, simply entitled “Clerks II” in 2006.

Kevin Patrick Smith was born on 2 August 1970, in Red Bank, New Jersey USA, the son of Donald E. Smith, a postal worker, and his wife Grace, who is a homemaker. He was working at a convenience store in Leonardo, where he created his first film “Clerks”, raising $27,575 for his first film and casting his friends and colleagues in most roles in order to make the film happen.
“Clerks” premiered in 1994 at the Sundance Film Festival, starring Brian O’Halloran, Jeff Anderson and Marilyn Ghigliotti, and became a total success, winning numerous awards and also garnering over $3 million at the box office.
