Jennifer ‘Jen’ Taylor was born in Seattle, Washington State USA, on 17 February 1973 – her zodiac sign is Aquarius, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress, film writer and director, with close to 100 acting credits to her name, while she’s probably known best for her voicing of Cortana in the action science fiction adventure video game series “Halo”, especially in the 2007 video game “Halo 3”; it follows the Arbiter and Master Chief as they’re attacking the Covenant, in an attempt to destroy the Flood. The video game won two Visual Effects Society Awards in 2008, for Outstanding Real Time Visuals in a Video Game, and Outstanding Models and Miniatures in a Broadcast Program, Commercial, or Music Video.
Early life and education
Jen was raised in Seattle by her parents, about whom only a little is known because she respects their privacy; it’s believed that her father was a doctor, and her mother a theatre actress. She hasn’t spoken about having siblings, which is why most people believe her to be an only child.
Jen became interested in acting while attending a local high school, and appeared in many plays performed both at the school, and a local theatre. She was also into comedy, and practiced voice work by imitating the people whom she heard on the radio.
Jen was highly sporting during her teenage years, as she played both volleyball and soccer for school teams.
Upon matriculating in 1991, she enrolled at Northwestern University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in theatre in 1995.
Prior to launching her acting career, Jen worked as a DJ for the radio station KNDD.
Voicing in video games
She made her debut by lending her voice to various characters in the 1997 sports video game “Backyard Baseball”, while a couple of her following roles were in the 1998 adventure crime family “Sky Island Mysteries”, the family sport “Mario Golf”, and the action science fiction horror “Aliens vs. Predator 2”.
In 2005, Jen lent her voice to both Red Pill Librarian and Civilian in the action adventure fantasy “The Matrix: Path of Neo”, directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski, and which starred Mary Alice, Julian Arahanga and David Astop. The game follows Neo, as he’s battling familiar enemies from the film trilogy “The Matrix”.
A couple of Jen’s notable voice works in the remainder of the 2000s were in the 2007 adventure family fantasy “Mario & Sonikku at Pekin Orimpikku”, the 2008 action horror “Left 4 Dead”, and the 2009 action horror mystery “F. E. A. R. 2: Project Origin”.

She voiced multiple characters in the 2014 action adventure fantasy “Destiny”, directed by Jason Jones, and which starred Peter Dinklage, Bill Nighy and Lauren Cohan; the video game features space-born humans as they’re defending Earth from aliens, and it won four of the 15 awards for which it was nominated.
Three of her most recent voicing works in video games have been in the 2020 “Dota Underlords”, the 2021 “Halo Infinite”, and the 2022 “Destiny 2: The Witch Queen”.
Roles in movies and TV series
Jen made her debut film appearance in the 2004 horror thriller drama “Inheritance”, written and directed by Kris Kristensen, and in which she starred alongside Marjorie Nelson and Carter Roy; it follows a caregiver who believes that she’s been possessed by the ghost of her benefactress, while her friends believe that she’s suffering from schizophrenia, which runs in her family.
Her TV series debut was her voicing of Son and Snouser in the 2005 episode “Scaredy Cat/Requiem for a Cat” in the animated family comedy “Catscratch”. A couple of Jen’s following roles were in the 2008 drama movie “Taos”, the 2010 mystery crime thriller series “Leverage”, and the 2012 science fiction thriller mini-series “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn”.
She played Jackie’s Girl Player in the critically acclaimed 2013 biographical sports movie “42”, written and directed by Brian Helgeland, and which starred Chadwick Boseman, T. R. Knight and Harrison Ford. The film follows the first African-American man, Jackie Robinson to play in Major League Baseball (MLB), and it won three of the 24 awards for which it was nominated.

Jen sang the song “Feliz Navidad” in the 2007 action crime movie “3:10 to Yuma”, which won three of the 37 awards for which it was nominated, including two Oscars for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score and Best Achievement in Sound Mixing.
She’s made a guest appearance in a couple of talk-shows, such as “Showverse” and “Celebrity Page”.

Love life and relationships
Jen rarely talks about her love life, but has allowed her fans to have a glimpse into it, and it’s widely known that she’s today a married woman. She exchanged vows with American songwriter Paul Taylor in 1997, in a private ceremony attended by only the closest of their friends and family members; neither has shared the circumstances under which they met, while it’s believed that they were introduced by a mutual friend while working together on a video game.
Paul’s worked as a conductor and orchestrator on close to 50 video games, with some of the most popular amongst these having been the 2015 action science fiction adventure “Fallout 4”, the 2018 action science fiction adventure “Fallout 76” and the 2019 action adventure fantasy “The Elder Scrolls: Blades”.
Jen and Paul have two children together, Jake and Samantha Taylor.
Neither has spoken of any other people whom they’ve perhaps been with, so as of July 2022, Jen’s married to Paul Taylor, and they have two children.

Hobbies and other interests
Jen’s deeply religious, and she and her husband go to church every week.
Running her Instagram account is today one of her favorite hobbies; Jen’s followed by more than 40,000 people on the network, and has uploaded over 700 pictures, the majority of which feature her during her everyday life.
She’s a huge lover of animals, and supports the organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Jenn’s passionate about travelling, and has been to more than 20 US states for both work and pleasure, while she’s also been to various countries around the world, with her dream travel destination being Iceland.
She has her own favorite actor and actress, Eddie Redmayne and Meryl Streep, while some of her favorite movies include “The Devil Wears Prada”, “The Bridges of Madison County”, and “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”.

Jen’s age is 49. She has long brown hair which she usually dyes blonde, her eyes are light blue, she’s 5ft 6ins (1.7m) tall, and weighs around 130lbs (60kgs).
