Henry became interested in sports at a very early age, and was eight when he started playing football for his school’s club; he became interested in acting when he was 10, after his drama teacher cast him in a school play.

He was raised in London by a foster family – his biological father is the Afro-Brazilian Francis Samuel, and his biological mother is the Nigerian Adebisi Ogundeji.
