Born Lars Edvin Folke Ryding on 4 February 2003, in Ostermalm, Stockholm, Sweden, he hasn’t revealed the names of his parents, but it’s known that his grandfather is journalist Lars Ryding.
He grew up in his hometown with his three siblings, whose names are unknown. Edvin hasn’t talked about his formal education, but he became interested in acting at an early age – it’s not known whether he took acting classes or not.

Career Beginnings
Edvin was just six years old when his career started, when he was chosen for the role of Fabian Kreutz in the TV horror mini-series “Mannen Under Trappan” (2009), based on the novel of the same name by Marie Hermanson.
Two years later, Edvin portrayed Richard Persson in the award-winning drama film “Kronjuvelerna”, which starred Alicia Vikander, Bill Skarsgard, and Loa Falkman, while in 2012 he appeared as Kalle in the mystery thriller-drama film “Nobels Testamente”, with Malin Crepin, Bjorn Kjellman, and Leif Andree.
The young star continued to play Kalle in the films “Studio Sex” (2012), then “Prime Time” (2012), “Den Roda Vargen”, “Livstid” and “En Plats I Solen”, all in 2012, which made his quite popular in his home country.
Rise to Stardom
Edvin continued his career in stunning fashion, first with the role of Lillebror Jonas in the drama film “IRL” in 2013, and the same year he was cast in his first starring role, in the TV series “Biciklo – Supercykeln”, while in 2014 he was Young Jarno in the TV comedy series “Bastuklubben”.
Next, he was Gunnar Andersson in the TV series “Froken Frimans Krig” from 2013 to 2017, and meantime in 2015 he was chosen for the part of Linus in the award-winning TV drama series “Gasmamman”, and has so far starred in 40 episodes alongside Alexandra Rapaport and Joel Lutzow, among other stars.
In 2019, Edvin played Sylvester in 23 episodes of the TV comedy-drama series “Storm Pa Lugna Gatan”, and also featured in seven episodes of the TV series “Alska Mig” (2019-2020), before he achieved world stardom with the role of Wilhelm in the Netflix’ original “Young Royals” (2021). So far, Edvin has starred in all six episodes of the popular series; and the second season is currently in production, scheduled for release late in 2022.

Additional to his work on screen, Edvin has also worked as a voice actor, mainly voicing over English language animated films and series, but also giving voice to various characters in Danish and Swedish animations.
He was the voice of Johan in the animated comedy-drama film “Resan Till Fjaderkungens Rike” in 2014 and the same year voiced Mason Tutankhamun in the Swedish version of the animated film “Mr. Peabody and Sherman”, entitled “Herr Peabody & Sherman”, and also voiced Jonathan in the animated film “Paddington”.
His next voice role was the character Kuba in the animated stop-motion action fantasy film “Kubo and the Two Strings”, though it was another Swedish voice-over, entitled “Kubo Och De Tva Strangarna”, and in 2017 voiced Jonathan in the sequel “Paddington 2”.
Next, in 2020 he was the voice of Ian Lightfoot in the Swedish version of the film “Onward” entitled “Framat”, and the same year he voiced Ricky in the Swedish voice-over of the popular “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”, and voiced Stubbins in the Swedish dub of the film “Dolittle”, which starred Robert Downey Jr.
