Timothy Mowry is a US Army veteran, however, he’s known to the world as the father of Tia and Tamera Mowry, twin sisters who’ve achieved stardom as singers and actresses.

Timothy John Mowry was born on 4 January 1957 under the Capricorn zodiac sign, in Miami, Florida USA. Of English and Irish ancestry, he hasn’t talked about his parents and any siblings.

Timothy grew up in Miami playing various sports, including football, and wasn’t very much focused on academics, but still earned a scholarship for university. While at the university, he continued to play football, and the discipline he learned from coaches inspired him to seek further motivation. As a result, Tia’s father inquired about joining the army, and after a few physical and mental tests, Timothy was officially a part of the US Army.

Career

During his Army service, Timothy reached the rank of First Sergeant, commanding his own unit, in the battalion – the first sergeant is also known as the father of the unit, responsible for their prosperity and development. After years of service, Timothy and the family settled in California, and he began working as a custody officer/jailer with the City of Glendale Police Department.

The two even entered the army together and lived for some time in Gelnhausen, West Germany where Tia and Tamera were born. Since then, Timothy and Darlene welcomed Tahj, born in 1986, and Tavior, born in 1993. However, Timothy and Darlene divorced in 2015 and since then he’s been living a single life, apparently enjoying it with his children and grandchildren.

Tia Mowry Short Bio

Tia Dashon Mowry was born on 6 July 1979 in Gelnhausen, West Germany – she’s two minutes younger than her twin sister Tamera. The family eventually moved to Fort Hood, Texas where the two sisters began entering pageants and talent shows. Tia and Tamera started a narrative to move to California, and eventually convinced Darlene, to pursue more options of a career in the entertainment world. Their mother had just one condition, and that was to land an acting job the first month they were in California.

The entire family moved to Los Angeles, California in 1990, as the duo started appearing in commercials and small acting roles.

Some of their early appearances included “Dangerous Women” (1991), “Full House” (1992), and “True Colors”, also in 1992. While on the set of “Full House”, the sisters were noticed by a talent agent, and were given their own show “Sister, Sister”, which ran for five years and launched her to early fame. From 1999 to 2000 she was Lemonjella in the TV series “Demention”.

They starred in the fantasy comedy movie “Seventeen Again”, while two years later she appeared in the fantasy comedy film “The Hot Chick”, starring Rob Schneider, Rachel McAdams, and Anna Faris, while in 2006 she was selected for the role of Melanie Barnett in the TV series “The Game”, starring in 100 episodes through 2015.
