He was the first child of Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone, and his first wife Sasha Czack. He had a younger brother named Seargeoh ‘Seth’ Stallone, who was diagnosed with autism at a very young age. He also had three younger half-sisters, named Sophia Rose, Sistine Rose, and Scarlet Rose Stallone, from his father’s next marriage to model and entrepreneur Jennifer Flavin.


He was also the nephew of singer and actor Frank Stallone, and the grandson of astrologer and dancer Jackie Stallone. He was of American and Italian descent, held American nationality, and belonged to White Caucasian ethnic group. Sage went to Montclair College Preparatory School in Van Nuys, California, from which he matriculated in 1993. Sage Stallone started his professional career in the film industry in 1990, when he made his debut feature film appearance alongside his father as Rocky Jr. in the sports drama film “Rocky V”, the fifth installment of the highly popular “Rocky” franchise.

For his performance, he was nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actor Starring in a Motion Picture. His next role came three years later, with his portrayal of Leo in the horror-thriller film “The Evil Inside Me”, which was directed by Tim Everitt.

Continued Success

In 1997, Sage Stallone provided his voice to hairstylist Jay Sebring, who was murdered by the Charles Manson followers, in the true-crime exploitation horror film “The Manson Family”, directed by Jim Van Bebber. He also worked in the music department of the film, composing additional music. Later that year, he was cast as Price in the action-adventure comedy film “American Hero”, alongside Timothy Bottoms and Patrick Thomas.

In 2002, Sage worked with Damon Packard on his fantasy comedy film “Reflections Of Evil”, in which he starred in the role of Dan August. Three years later, Sage was the director and producer of the documentary film “Alan Yates Uncovered”, and then played Swan in the horror film “Chaos”, next to Kevin Cage.

The following year, he wrote, directed and produced his first short film, entitled “Vic”, which earned him the Best New Filmmaker Award at the 2006 Boston Film Festival; he also took the part of Doc in the film. Later in 2006, he featured as Vassily in the action-horror thriller film “Moscow Zero”, next to Vincent Gallo and Val Kilmer.

Further Work and Death

Sage Stallone’s next project was the 2007 romantic comedy film “Oliviero Rising”, in which he landed the role of Dr. Jeffries Stephens.


It was followed by his portrayal of The Mafioso in Vincent Gallo’s drama film “Promises Written In Water” in 2010, and his final film role came later that year, when he featured as Ari Sheinwold in the short comedy-drama film “The Agent”, also written and directed by Gallo.

Sage was found dead at his home on 13 July 2012. Although it was initially reported that he passed away from a drug overdose, the Los Angeles coroner revealed after an autopsy that he died from coronary artery disease, caused by atherosclerosis – Sage is interred at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery.

Following his death, a photograph of him as a young child with his father appeared in the 2015 sports drama film “Creed”, which is a sequel and spin-off from the “Rocky” franchise.
