Education and career as an actress

Missy made her acting debut as Beth in the 2003 romantic comedy “Haggard”, written, directed by, and starring Bam Margera. She made an appearance as Sorority Chick in the 2009 comedy “Minghags”, also written, directed by, and starring her ex-husband, then In the following year, Missy acted in the music video for the song “Dead Girls Are Easy” by The 69 Eyes.

They received an offer from Playboy magazine to pose nude together, which Missy accepted, and she was photographed by Bam.

Their wedding was held at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, on 3 February 2007, in the presence of around 350 family members and friends. During his appearance in the show “LA Ink”, Bam shared with Kat Von D, that he paid over $10,000 in damage that occurred during the celebration of his and Missy’s wedding, although he added that he was kind of ready for that since the “Jackass” crew was invited.

In the summer of 2009, Bam was hospitalized after a four-day alcoholic binge, and it seems that one of the reasons for his and Missy’s divorce was his drinking problem. He’s a West Chester, Pennsylvania native, and was raised by his parents Phil and April alongside his brother Jess, who is now the drummer of the rock band called CKY.

Bam dropped out of high school after his junior year, and was subsequently homeschooled by his mother. He passed the General Educational Development tests, receiving his General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

He gained fame in the early 2000s, as one of the crew members of the show “Jackass” and its sequels. Prior to his appearance in this stunt show, Bam was a professional skateboarder, and took videos of himself and his friends doing stunts – their first movie “Landspeed: CKY” was released in 1999, based on skateboarding spills and thrills, but also featuring some insane stunts done by Bam, his brother Jess, and their friends, Brandon DiCamillo, Ryan Dunn, and Chris Raab, among others. The director of “Jackass”, Jeff Tremaine, noticed Bam’s videos and soon Bam became part of the “Jackass” team.


Bam is the creator of the series “Viva la Bam”, which aired on Music Television (MTV) from 2003 through 2005, and featured Bam in his attempts to anger his parents. The show brought Bam two Teen Choice Award nominations for TV – Choice Reality Star (Male), and for Choice TV Reality/Variety Star – Male.

Although he was seen in one scene of the 2022 movies “Jackass Forever” and “Jackass 4.5”, in February 2021, he was fired from the filming due to his behavior over recent years. His problem with alcohol escalated, and he was several times hospitalized due to alcoholic intoxication. Bam entered a rehab program a few times, but he would never remain sober longer than six months after leaving the rehabilitation center.

Speaking of his personal life, before he married Missy, Bam was engaged to Jenn Rivell, who was seen in some of his projects, including “Viva la Bam”. The two were in a seven-year-long relationship that ended in 2005 – allegedly, Jenn broke into Bam’s house in November 2006, so he asked for a restraining order.

After his and Missy’s divorce, Bam married Nicole Boyd, who is only known as his wife. The two married on 5 October 2013, in Reykjavik, Iceland, and on 23 December 2017, Bam and Nicole welcomed a son they named Phoenix Wolf. In September 2021, Nicole filed for child custody of the boy, but not for divorce.


In May 2022, Bam announced that he’d completed a year of sobriety treatment, but just a month later, he was reported missing. He was found a week later, and voluntarily returned to rehab, but from June to September, he was four times reported missing after fleeing rehab. The most recent news about Bam is that in December 2022 he was hospitalized suffering from COVID-19, but was soon released.
