Early life, family, and education

Born on 16 October 1989, in Queens, New York City USA, Julie Marie Pacino, has recently celebrated her 33rd birthday; she holds American nationality, and comes partly from a family of Italian descent from her father’s side.

Her mother, Jan Tarrant, is an acting teacher, who was in a relationship with Al Pacino. The two began dating in the late ’80s, but reportedly the two separated soon after Julie was born, although they raised their daughter together.

Julie has half-siblings, twins Olivia and Anton from her father’s relationship with his now ex-girlfriend Beverly D’Angelo.

Julie began playing baseball in high school, and as a freshman at college she was named Rookie of the Year – her biggest athletic accomplishment was reaching the state Final Four in 2006. However, her ambition was to become a filmmaker.

In the following years, she filmed “Shifting Past” (2017) and “Connecting the Dots” (2019), however, all of these movies went unnoticed.

Julie co-produced the 2020 short drama “Nadia Jaan”, about an Afghan-American woman who must choose between traditional marriage and the woman she fell in love with. The movie had four award nominations and won two, including the Various Artists independent Film Festival (VAiFF) Award for Best Drama Short, which Julie shared with the rest of the crew.

In the same year, Julie directed “Nowhere to Go”, another short drama which had 21 award nominations, and won 11; Julie and the rest of the crew won Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival Award-Best Dramatic Short, while she was nominated for the Indie Short Fest August Award for Best Director (Female), and won the Sicily Independent Film Award for Best Director and Toronto Film Channel for Best Director Short Film.

It seems that 2020 was a good year for Julie, since her work as a director for the short comedy “Hard Work” brought her the Indie Short Fest and Montreal Independent Film Festival Award for Best Comedy Short.

Her newest project, entitled “Brainstorms”, which she wrote, directed and produced, premiered on 9 October 2022, and was released under Julie’s production company, ‘Tiny Apples’.

Love life and relationships

Although Julie prefers to keep her personal life under wraps, this does not seem to apply to her girlfriend/fiancee Israeli ex-professional tennis player, and actress Adi Spiegelman, who spoke about their relationship in her interview for Laisha Magazine.

The two met through a celebrity-oriented dating application, and at first, Adi didn’t know that Julie is the daughter of the famous actor. When the two met, Adi was 22 and Julie was 31 years old.

After six months of dating, they became engaged on 17 July 2021, and began living together in Los Angeles, California. Adi stated that the two are preparing for their wedding which should be held in Hawaii.
