He’s appeared in more than 100 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still known best for his portrayal of Morpheus, one of the main characters in the 1999 action science fiction movie “The Matrix”. It was written and directed by Lilly Wachowski, also starred Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss, and follows Neo who has just discovered that all life on Earth is actually a deception created by cyber-intelligence; the movie won 46 awards, including four Oscars for Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Effects Editing, Best Film Editing and Best Sound, while it was nominated for 51 other award.
