SimpleFlips is an American YouTube and Twitch star, who achieved fame by playing simple video games such as “Mario 64” and “Pac-Man 99”, among several others. He’s known for speed-running the games, which earned him both negative and positive attention.

SimpleFlips’ real name is Eddie Cruz, born on 14 September 1995 under the Virgo zodiac sign, in California USA. He is rather secretive about his childhood, as he’s rarely talked about it. However, it’s known that he has a younger brother with whom he spent hours playing video games.

The two were raised by parents who are involved in real estate, however, SimpleFlips hasn’t revealed their names. Despite the negativity, SimpleFlips continued in the same manner, and made friends within the YouTube community – he appeared in more than 100 videos of YouTube star Foxen, as the two fought each other in various video games, though they’ve also co-operated against other YouTubers.

He’s also great friends with Markass, another YouTube and Twitch star, and the two have live-streamed numerous times together on the latter platform.

Furthermore, SimpleFlips is a member of the YouTube gamers group Minus World, which consists of such YouTube stars as Swanky Box, TetraBitGaming and Nathaniel Brandy among others. He and the rest of the gang enjoy teasing Nathaniel both in videos and in real life.

SimpleFlips is also good friends with Robert James Rallison, who is better known under the pseudonym TheOdd1sOu; the two have played several games together, including “Tetris”.


Thanks to his dedication, SimpleFlips has become a rather praised YouTuber, and his videos have amassed more than 120 million views. Some of his most popular videos include “Super Oofio 64”, which has around two million views, then “Tetris VS TheOdd1sOut”, with around 1.5 million, and “Desert Mario 64 (ft. In addition to his popularity on YouTube, SimpleFlips is also a star on Twitch. He launched his Twitch channel in June 2012, and since then has accumulated over 140,000 followers, and a number of subscribers who pay a certain fee for extra content, which has only increased his wealth.


He prefers live streaming “Super Mario 64”, and has spent more than 40 days in total on this popular video game. There were rumors in the past about SimpleFlips being gay, however, those rumors disappeared once he revealed his romantic relationship with the aforementioned YouTube star. They bonded over the same interest in “Super Mario 64”, and later fell in love with each other.
