Who is Piper Curda?

Piper Joy Curda was born in Tallahassee, Florida USA on 16 August 1997 – her zodiac sign is Leo, she holds American nationality, and is of part-Korean descent. She’s an actress and a singer, with close to 30 acting credits to her name, perhaps known best for her portrayal of Kayla in the 2020 comedy movie “American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules”, directed by Mike Elliott, and which starred Madison Pettis, Lizze Broadway and Natasha Benham. It follows three girls who are attending their senior year at the East Great Falls high school, and have teamed up, hoping to get what they want from the final year.

Early life and education

Piper was raised in Tallahassee alongside her siblings Saylor, Glory, Major and Riley, by their Korean-American father who’s a one-star Army Reserve General, and their mother who’s a housewife. Piper’s sister Riley and brother Major are also actors.

Piper became interested in acting upon enrolling at a local elementary school, and began appearing in school plays, mostly portraying lead characters. Her mother was then advised by the school’s drama teacher to take Piper to acting auditions; she was 11 years old when she made her debut film appearance, with her portrayal of Neighborhood Kid in the popular romantic comedy “Nothing Like the Holidays”, directed by Alfredo Rodriguez de Villa, and which starred John Leguizamo and Freddy Rodriguez.

It follows a Puerto Rican family who are spending what seems to be their final Christmas together in Chicago; the movie won one of the five awards for which it was nominated.

Piper continued acting during her entire education. She attended a local high school in Tallahassee, and upon matriculating in 2015, enrolled at Wheaton College, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2019.

Roles in TV series

Piper made her debut TV series appearance in 2011, with her portrayal of Eva Mendez in the episode “Blood Brothers” of the mystery crime drama “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, and gained recognition later that year, when cast to star as Casey in the comedy “Rule the Mix”.

It was created by David B. Williams, also starred Hudson Thames and Michael Adrian, and follows children who are sending their videos to Rule The Mix, while a girl and a boy are then picking the best amongst these.

In 2012, Piper appeared in two episodes of the comedy “Malibu Country”, and the following year saw her appear in the episode “All for One” of the mystery crime drama “Rizzoli & Isles”. In 2013 and 2014, she played Kenedy Van Buren, in the family comedy drama “A. N. T. Farm”, created by Dan Signer, and which starred China Anne McClain, Sierra McCormick and Jake Short. It follows a teenager who has begun attending his high school’s program for gifted children, called Advanced Natural Talents, and the series won seven of the 19 awards for which it was nominated.

In 2014 and 2015, Piper played Jasmine Kang, the main character in the popular family comedy drama “I Didn’t Do It”, created by Tod Himmel and Josh Silverstein, and which also starred Austin North and Olivia Holt in the story of twins Logan and Lindy Watson as they’re attending high school.

Three of Piper’s most recent roles in TV series have been in all three episodes of the 2017 comedy mini-series “Just Another Nice Guy” (lead role), the 2018 episode “Brave Heart” of the crime comedy drama “The Rookie”, and eight episodes of the comedy mini-series “Youth & Consequences” in 2021.

Roles in movies

In 2012, Piper was cast to play Meghan in the family drama “Shmagreggie Saves the World”, and a couple of her following roles were in the 2013 family comedy drama “Reading Writing & Romance”, the 2013 short comedy “Save the Date”, and the 2013 comedy “Phys Ed”.

In 2015, we saw her star as Alyssa in the musical family fantasy “Teen Beach 2”, directed by Jeffrey Hornaday, and which starred Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell and Gracie Gillam. She was in a relationship with Jake Short, an American actor who’s perhaps known best for his portrayal of Fletcher Quimby, in the series “A. N. T. Farm”, which was also how the two met. The relationship lasted for around half a year, before the two split for unknown reasons.

She’s today dating Troy Ogletree, an American actor, singer-songwriter and rapper, who’s possibly known best for his portrayal of Romeo in the 2015 fantasy horror comedy movie “The Walking Deceased”.

Troy and Piper have uploaded various pictures featuring them together onto their Instagram accounts, and they’ve also been seen spending time together on various occasions by their fans.

Piper has also been in two on-screen matchups: with Jacob Kogan in the series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, and with Austin North in the series “I Didn’t Do It”.

As of September 2021, she’s dating Troy Ogletree, hasn’t married, and doesn’t have children.

Hobbies and other interests

Piper is a huge fan of all kinds of art, and has been to various galleries and museums around California and Florida. She’s also interested in photography, and many pictures taken by her can be found uploaded onto her Instagram account.

She’s a huge of Disney’s animated movies, with a couple of her favorites being “Despicable Me”, “The Lion King”, and “How to Train Your Dragon”. Piper’s also into watching Hollywood films – her favorite actors and actresses are Eddie Redmayne, Tom Cruise and Amanda Seyfried, while a couple of her favorite movies are “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, “Top Gun” and “Dear John”.

She’s physically active, and has a couple of training sessions at the gym each week, mostly because it’s important for her acting career to stay fit.

Piper’s into travelling, and her acting career has already taken her to various US states, while she’s hoping to visit her dream travel destination – Paris in France – in 2022.

Piper’s age is 23. She has long brown hair and brown eyes, her height is 5ft 1ins (1.55m) and she weighs around 110lbs (50kgs).

As of September 2021, her net worth has been estimated at over $500,000.
