Peter Lawrence Strauss was born on the 20th February 1947, in Croton-on-Hudson, New York USA, and is a five-time Golden Globe Award-nominated actor, probably best known to the world for his roles in films “The Jericho Mile” (1979) as Larry ‘Rain’ Murphy, “Nick of Time” (1995) as Brendan Grant, and “xXx: State of the Union” (2005), as President James Sanford, among other differing roles. Peter’s career started in the late ‘60s.

He finished the decade with the role of La Hire in the highly-praised mini-series “Joan of Arc”, starring Ted Atherton and Jacqueline Bisset, which also added to his net worth.

Peter started the new millennium with the lead role in yet another television film, “A Father’s Choice” (2000), with Michelle Trachtenberg and Mary McDonnell, and then in 2002 portrayed Dr. Isaac Braun in the TV series “Body & Soul”. In 2007 he featured in the romantic comedy “License to Wed” (2007), while in 2010 he appeared in the film “Jack’s Family Adventures”, then had a break until 2014, when he was selected to play Grant in the film “Sugar Daddies”, and most recently, he featured in the romantic drama “Drawing Home” (2017), starring Julie Lynn Mortensen, Juan Riedinger and Kate Mulgrew.

Regarding his personal life, Peter has been married to actress Rachel Ticotin since 1998. He has two divorces behind him; his first wife was Beverly Baker Paulding, and their marriage lasted from 1973 until 1979. In 1983 he married Nicole Fons, with whom he had two children, before divorce in 1994.
