Paul was the youngest of three children in the family; Pogba’s parents are Guinean, and he is of Muslim religion. He started his football career when he was only six years old, playing at a local club US Roissy-en-Brie. In his teenage years, he moved to prominent youth academy US Torcy, and only one year later, Paul started playing professional football for the Ligue 2 side Le Havre. His talent was soon noticed by European clubs and in 2009 Pogba announced that he was transferring to Manchester United’s youth academy. Having showed his abilities once again, he was promoted to the Manchester United reserves team in the 2011-2012 campaign, although his first team debut came in September 2011 in the Capital One Cup. It wasn’t long before another club became strongly interested in Paul’s play, so Pogba soon moved to play for Juventus. This time, he was put into the first team straight upon his arrival, and started making a huge impact on the team’s play. He was soon known as “Paul the Octopus” due to his lengthy legs, and “Pogboom!” for his aggressive style of play. Paul’s performances displayed such quality that he was soon given Europe’s Golden Boy award for the best young player in Europe. He led Juventus to victory in Serie A and te Coppa Italia, and also three Italia Supercoppa wins, plus in the 2014-2015 season, Paul helped the team reach the UEFA Champions League.

Meantime, continuing his strong and successful style of play, Pogba remained an outstanding member of France’s youth team, helping it win the U-20 World Cup in 2013, the year he won the Golden Ball award. The fruitful period of Paul’s career seemed to continue, as he was promoted to the French senior team and won the FIFA World Cup Best Young Player Award in 2014. All these achievements have made him one of Europe’s elite midfielders, boosting his net worth too.

In May 2016, Pogba was named to France’s 23-man team for UEFA Euro 2016. However, although much was expected of his play, he failed to live up to expectations and was targeted by the media for his negative performance at the championship. In August the same year, he returned to Manchester United and signed a five-year contract which turned out to be an all-time record football transfer fee of $100 million, so far continuing his impressive form.

When it comes to his private life, Paul is in a long-term relationship with popular African singer Dencia. His older twin brothers are also footballers.
