Born in Camden, New Jersey, Rozier’s passion for American Football started way back in high school. While attending Woodrow Wilson High School, he was already recognized as one of the standout athletes of the team. Unfortunately, despite his great performance on the field, his failing grades did not qualify him to any colleges and made him hard to be recruited.

To ramp up his grades, Rozier attended Coffeyville Junior College in Kansas. While studying he also played American Football in which he helped his team gain a 9-0 season and he himself scored ten touchdowns.

After turning his grades around, in his second year Rozier was recruited by University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He joined the university’s American Football team and helped them break records in college football history. In his last year he won the coveted Heisman trophy, while also receiving the Maxwell Award and was named Player of the Year in 1983 by Walter Camp.

With a successful run during his college years as a football player, Rozier easily turned professional upon finishing college. He started his career with the United States Football League in 1984 in which he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Maulers. He played one season with the team and transferred to Jacksonville Bulls in 1985. With the same year he also transferred with the Houston Oilers. His early years with the USFL started his professional career in football and also helped start his net worth.

In the 1984 National Football League Supplemental Draft of USFL and CFL Players, Rozier got drafted to the Houston Oilers in which he continued to play with the team for seven years. In 1987 and 1988, he also played for the AFC Pro Bowl.

Before retiring, Rozier also got a chance to play with the NFC’s Atlanta Falcons. But in 1991, he came back with the Falcons where he spent his last year in his professional career. His years with the NFL and NFC ultimately helped his career and tremendously increased his net worth over the years.

In terms of his personal life, Rozier has been married for over twenty years to Rochelle. He has three children.
