Neil is best known, and became easily recognised among audiences, after the radio and television series “Cosmos: A Personal Voyage” (1980), and hosting such popular TV shows as “Nova Science Now” (2006 – 2011), “Star Trek” (2009 – present), and  “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” (2014). At present he works as a research associate at the American Museum of Natural History in the department of astrophysics, and the head of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space.
