Who is Molly McGrath?
Molly was born in San Francisco, California USA, on 6 June 1989 – her zodiac sign is Gemini, and she holds American nationality. She’s a sportscaster and a studio host, who’s probably known best for working for the American multinational basic cable sports channel ESPN.
Early life and education
Molly was raised in Burlingame, California alongside her older brother Patrick, by their father of Irish descent Michael McGrath, and their mother Deborah of Mexican-Spanish descent; it’s said that Michael is a retired journalist, and that Deborah is a real estate agent. Molly’s brother Patrick played football while attending Princeton University.

Molly became interested in sports and journalism while still attending a local elementary school, mostly because her father used to watch sports shows on TV nearly every night, as well as various news channels. She studied at a local high school, and during her four years there was interested in various activities, including playing soccer and volleyball, dancing on the cheerleaders’ team, and writing articles for the school newspaper.
Upon matriculating in 2007, Molly enrolled at Boston College, and during her four years there interviewed coaches and athletes for the college’s website – BCEagles.com; she was the cheerleading captain too. Molly also interned at both the virtual channel 7 WHDH, and the regional sports cable and satellite TV network New England Sports Network (NESN) prior to graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2011.
Molly’s initial career
Molly launched her career straight out of college, when she was hired to work for ESPN as a production assistant, mostly in charge of producing highlights and logging play-by-plays.
After only a couple of months, she quit ESPN and started working for the American professional basketball team the Bolton Celtics, as their web reporter and in-arena host. She spent two years with them, and was in charge of hosting and producing daily updates, interviewing athletes, and also hosting their show “Celtics Now”, which aired on Comcast SportsNet New England (CSNNE); Molly was also CSNNE’s sideline reporter.
She was contacted by a Fox Sports executive in 2013, after he’d found videos of her work on YouTube. He sent Molly a message on Facebook, explaining that there was a job opening at Fox Sports, if she wanted to have an interview with them; she was hired in the summer of the same year, and started working for Fox Sports 1, which required her to move to Los Angeles in California. Molly initially worked as their update anchor, but her skills helped her promotion to the position of an anchor and co-host of “America’s Pregame”, the channel’s daily sports highlight show. She asked for even more work, and became the lead sideline reporter for both Fox College Basketball and Fox College Football, while also covering football games for Fox NFL.
In 2015, she was chosen to host the sixth season of the ABC’s show “Battlebots”.
Returning to ESPN
It was in July 2016 that Molly started working for ESPN again, this time co-hosting their show “College Football Live”, and serving as their college sports sideline reporter. For the remainder of 2016, she worked as a sideline reporter for the show “ESPN College Football Friday Primetime”, together with Adam Amin and Mack Brown, and was also the sideline reporter for the ESPN’s College Basketball shows.
Molly continued working on “ESPN College Football Friday Primetime” in the following year, also hosted segments of the show “College Football Live”, and covered events such as Las Vegas Bowl, Texas Bowl and Orange Bowl.
In 2018, she covered Saturday ESPN College Football for both ABC and ESPN, together with Dusty Dvoracek and Mark Jones, and the following year saw her cover the Big Ten Super Tuesday college basketball match-up, alongside Dan Dakich and Dave Flemming.
The year 2019 saw her cover two college football games every week, then in 2020, Molly started covering the professional American X-Treme Football League (XFL) for ESPN.

Molly is highly active on Instagram, and apparently enjoys the attention which she’s receiving from her more than 100,000 followers; she’s uploaded over 600 pictures onto the network, the majority of which have been taken during her everyday life.
She launched her Twitter account in June 2009, and it’s today followed by more than 150,000 people, while she’s tweeted close to 10,000 times, mostly about college football, and occasionally about the National Football League (NFL).
She has a Facebook page, as well, and it’s today followed by close to 30,000 people, although Molly’s most recent update was on 30 October 2020.
Love life and husband
Molly prefers to keep the details of her love life to herself, but it’s still widely known that she’s today a married woman. She exchanged vows with Max Dorsch in July 2018, in a private ceremony attended by many of their friends and family members; Max is a commercial real estate investments professional, and they are currently living in Seattle.
In January 2021, Molly gave birth to their son Raymond Michael Dorsch V, and the family counts two more members: Molly and Max’s rescue dogs Matthew and Stewart.
Neither of the two has spoken of any other people whom they had perhaps been with prior to meeting each other, so as of January 2022, Molly’s married to Max Dorsch, and they have a son.
Hobbies and other interests
Molly’s physically highly active, and has four to five training sessions at the gym every week, thus her slim figure; she’s also on a strict diet, and some of her fans believe her to be a vegan.
She’s into travelling, and her career has taken her all around the US, visiting more than 20 states; Molly has also vacationed in Europe with her husband – her dream travel destination is Paris in France.
She’s a huge lover of animals, with her favorites being horses and dogs.
Molly’s favorite season is summer, mostly because she enjoys showing off her body at the beach, but also because she likes to sun tan and play beach sports.
She enjoys watching movies late at night – her favorite actor and actress are Jim Carrey and Amanda Seyfried, while a couple of her favorite films include “Liar Liar”, “Bruce Almighty” and “Dear John”.
