She also appeared in “Constantine” in 2005, but her role in the film was eventually cut. Two years later, Monaghan went on to co-star with Ben Stiller in “The Heartbreak Kid”, and then with Casey Affleck in “Gone Baby Gone”. Her other notable roles include those in “Made of Honor”(2008), “Eagle Eye”(2008), “Trucker” – in which she played alongside Jake Gyllenhaal – and the critically acclaimed HBO series “True Detective”. It was announced in April 2016 that Michelle had joined the cast of “Sidney Hall”, an independent feature film which began filming later the same year and is set to premiere in early2017 at the Sundance Film Festival.

When it comes to her private life, Monaghan has been married to graphic artist Peter White since August 2005, and they have two children; the family currently resides in New York. In 2011, Michelle a mole on her calf removed which had been diagnosed as skin cancer.
