Lucas George Petitgout was born on 16 June 1976, in Milford, Delaware USA, and is a retired professional American Football player, best known to have played as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for teams such as the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After matriculating, he attended the University of Notre Dame and was a letterman in football. During his senior year, he was named a Football News All-Independent first team selection; he registered 74 knockdown blocks in his college career.

Petitgout joined the 1999 NFL Draft and was selected by the New York Giants as the 19th pick overall. After being drafted, he was put in a starter role immediately. He played left guard and right tackle, but eventually settled to play as left tackle with the Giants in 2002. In the following two seasons, he had back problems which affected his performance, but his net worth continued to increase, as he then played well until the 2006 season when he broke his leg. The following season, he was released by the Giants.

Just a month later, Luke signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, increasing his net worth once more. He started as the team’s left tackle, however he tore his ACL during the fourth week of the season when they were playing against the Carolina Panthers, which ended his season, and he was placed on the injured reserve list. He was then released by the Buccaneers in 2008, and retired afterwards. Over the course of his career, he appeared in 117 games, starting in 110.

For his personal life, it is known that Luke was married to Jennifer Petitgout but it ended in divorce after they had three children. In 2013, he was arrested for tossing Jennifer out of a car, hitting her head on the pavement. -she declined to press charges on the case. In 2015, he spent 30 days in jail due to harassing his ex-wife; during the previous year, he allegedly punched his ex-wife and her date while they were in a Manhattan cocktail lounge. According to reports, Luke had a history of domestic violence which eventually ended their marriage. A few months after his release, he was caught and charged with possession of drugs, namely cocaine, marijuana and anabolic steroids, among others. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled dangerous substance while in a motor vehicle.
