In the following year, she was cast to play Laura Biel in the multi-lingual Netflix movie “365 Days”, also starring Michele Morrone and Bronislaw Wroclawski. The plot of the film revolved around Laura, a successful sales director with a troubled love life. In order to save her relationship, she embarks on a trip with her boyfriend and a few other friends to Sicily. Massimo Torricelli, a handsome young mafia boss, kidnaps Laura and gives her 365 days to fall in love with him. The movie is based on the novel “Kolejne 365 Dni” by Blanka Lipinska.
It had five award nominations for The Golden Raspberry Awards (also known as the Razzie Award) a parody award show which honors the worst of cinematic under-achievements, winning the Razzie Award for Worst Screenplay, however, audiences all around the world liked this drama, and it was one of the most-watched on Netflix in 2020.
In 2022, Anna-Maria reprised her role in the sequel “The Next 365 Days”, also opposite Michele Morrone, and this time, the two try to overcome trust issues and their relationship hangs in the balance. This sequel was also poorly rated, and this time the audience called it terrible.
In April 2022, the second sequel to the movie, entitled “365 Days: This Day” was released.
