Who is Josha Stradowski?
An actor with more than 10 credits to his name, Josha Stradowski rose to prominence playing Rand al’Thor in the series “The Wheel of Time”, an action-adventure drama placed in a high fantasy world where magic exists but only a select few have access to it, based on the book series by Robert Jordan.

Early life, parents, and education
Josha hasn’t shared his exact birth date, however, it’s known that the year was 1995. He hails from Rotterdam, Netherlands, thus his nationality is Dutch, but comes from a family of Polish descent from his mother’s side. Her name is Roseana, and she’s a housewife, while his father, Robert Floyd is a businessman. He hasn’t spoken about having any siblings, thus many believe that he’s an only child.
Josha had an interest in performing from an early age, and attended Lucia Marthas Performance Academy. Upon matriculating in 2013, he enrolled at Amsterdam School of Arts (AHK) from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts (Theatre and Acting) in 2018.
Acting career
Josha made his acting debut in the musical theater play “Kuifje: De Zonnetempel” in 2006. Next, he was seen in musical plays such as “Ciske de Rat” and “The Sound of Music”. Josha also played in Ivo van Hove’s International Theater Amsterdam, and some of the plays he starred in are “Bromance” and “Gender”.
He made his first television series appearance as Freddie in the series “Naranjina en de Kadekapers” in 2011, and later that year was cast to play Pascal Roozen in the series “Spangas”, and was seen in 27 episodes from 2011 through 2012.

Next, he guest starred as Wil in an episode of the series “Hidden Stories”, a long-running family drama very popular in Netherlands, which are stories based on true events, with every story starting with a quote from the Bible.
In the following year, Josha was seen starring as Niels in the short movie “Caged”, which won America’s Rainbow Film Festival (ARFF) Audience Award and Vittorio Veneto Film Festival Jury Prize for Best Short Film.
Josha’s next role came in 2017 when he was cast to play Sven in the short comedy fantasy “I Can Fly”, starring opposite Frieda Barnhard. He followed with his role as Joris in the 2018 TV movie “Just Friends”, which followed the story of two young men who fall in love. The movie had nine award nominations and won seven, with Josha winning the OUT at the Movies Int’l LGBT Film Fest Jury Prize for Best Performance in a Leading Role.
Later in 2018, Josha was seen as Lastige Jongen in “Men from Mars”, a comedy about three friends who return to their college for the reunion, and then realize that 25 years after high school all they have are problems in their lives. The movie won the Golden and Platin Film, Netherlands Award.

In the following year, Josha was seen as Chiel in “Alpha”, followed by his role as Man in the thriller drama “Instinct”, also starring Carice van Houten, which had nine award nominations and won six.
Josha landed the lead role in the 2020 series “High Flyers”, an adventure action-drama about three youngsters who enlist in the Royal Netherlands Air Force to become fighter pilots, which although having no nominations, was well-rated by the audience (6.6/10).
In 2021, Josha was cast to play the role that brought him international fame, as Rand al’Thor in “The Wheel of Time”, his debut in an American production project. The character he played is a farm boy, who follows his heart and makes impulsive decisions, so many consider him stubborn. Josha co-starred with Rosamund Pike, Madeleine Madden, and Daniel Henney, and the series had six award nominations, including the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA- Saturn Award for Best Streaming Fantasy Series, and won the ReFrame Stamp for IMDbPro Top 200 Most Popular TV Titles 2021-2022.

Josha is quite secretive when it comes to his personal matters, and perhaps this is the reason why he’s been the subject of various rumors about his love life and his sexual orientation. After his role in the movie “Just Friends,” many assumed that Josha is gay. He hasn’t commented on these assumptions, and also his social media profiles don’t reveal anything about his love status either.
Josha was romantically linked with his co-star from “The Wheel of Time”, young New Zealand actress, Zoe Robins, however, when it was revealed that Zoe has been dating an American dancer and actor, Nico Greetham, the rumors about her and Josha stopped.
As of March 2023, Josha seems to be single, and hasn’t been married or engaged.

Josha’s age is 27 or 28, and his trademark is his ginger hair and green eyes. He’s also known for his towering height of 6ft 2ins (1.89m). Josha takes care of his body by working out at the gym three to four times per week, and his weight of 180lbs (82kgs) appears to be proportionate to his height, at least according to his fans.
