John Dunsworth was born on 12 April 1946, in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada, to Frances and Frank Dunsworth. He is a Canadian actor, best known for his role of trailer park supervisor Jim Lahey in the television series “Trailer Park Boys”, and as reporter Dave Teagues in the series “Haven”.

Dunsworth grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, along with his nine siblings. He attended the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, majoring in Theatre. However, he dropped out of college in his fourth year. He went on to land gigs in numerous CBC radio dramas, as well as leading parts in various stage productions at the Neptune Theater in Halifax.
