Joseph William Namath was born on 31st May 1943, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania USA, to immigrant parents from Hungary. He is a retired American football player as well as an actor, who is usually named Joe Willie or Broadway Joe. He is an inductee into the Professional Football Hall of Fame (1985) for his great achievements in sport. He was a member of The Alabama Crimson Tide football team during 1962 – 1964, coached by Howard Schnellenberger, leading the team to the national title in 1964 and an overall 29-4 winning record.However, he decided to pursue a professional football career, so he only graduated from university in 2007.
