Paul Millsap, born on the 10th of February 1985, is an American professional basketball player currently playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Denver Nuggets. He became known when selected for the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2007, and subsequently for being a four-time NBA All-Star.

Born in Monroe, Louisiana into a family of basketball players, Millsap has an older brother and two younger brothers, all of whom has played various levels of basketball. He attended Grambling High School and joined the school’s basketball team, the Grambling Kittens, during which time he was named a fourth-team Parade All-American, and was listed as 31st power forward in the nation and 115th player overall in 2003.

In college, Millsap attended Louisiana Tech, playing for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs basketball team – in playing 92 games for the school, he averaged 18.6 points, 12.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. He led the nation in rebounding for three consecutive years, the only player to do it in the history of the NCAA. He then declared for the 2006 NBA Draft.

Millsap’s professional career started when he was selected by the Utah Jazz, the 47th overall pick. He played a total of seven years for the team from 2006 to 2013, during which time he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team, and joined the 2014 NBA All-Star Game. His time with the team certainly established his career, and tremendously helped his net worth.

In July 2013, Millsap transferred to the Atlanta Hawks, signing a two-year deal with team that helped increase his wealth. After earning his second All-Star nod in the 2015, he re-signed with the Hawks with a $59 million contract. While playing for the Hawks he became a member of the NBA All-Star team a total of four times, his third in 2016 and fourth in 2017, after which he then transferred to the Denver Nuggets.

Today, after 12 years at the top level of basketball, Millsap is still playing in the NBA and is currently a member of the Denver Nuggets. He signed a multi-year contract with the team in July 2017, and debuted in the team in October. He recently endured a left wrist injury late in 2017, but has been able to recover after undergoing a reconstructive surgery.

In terms of his personal life, Millsap is married to LaToria Scott, and together they have three children: Pnauyona, Xylah, and Paula. They currently reside in Denver.
